don't think its high class, only 2 or 3 rooms, first floor got park some motors, rooms is upstair, the light can dim or bright, but the rest of the equipment is like old days home karaok setup. very big room with big sofa and table. cement flooring plain ceiling and don't have other customers. best thing is during their "hiong" performance, they actually pour away 2 crates of beer..... crazy. ok comfirm chop sign its not high class.....

saw some bro mention "catwalk" if that is a ktv, then will go there next time to compare. any idea damage?

Has anyone here travelled to the north of vietnam by train or bus. And if so, which is better. Taking into consideration comfort etc etc since I do realise its a long long journey.

if you mean travel from HCM to Hanoi and if the purpose is to save some money, then I suggest you not even try. Not worth the lost of time at all.

I was told, when travel by bus, bcos journey is very long (3000km, = 10 trips of Singapore to KL by bus), there are lots of usual tricksters onboard to extract more value, such as gambling and pick-pocketing or even picking on your luggage when u are asleep, and these are common issues.

I have travelled from HCMC to Hanoi by a mixture of bus & rail. The main idea is to break your journey. Central Vietnam(Danang & Hoi An) devastated by the recent typhoon might make travelling a bit of a challenge.

For tourist bus ticket to Da Lat or Nha Trang, try Kim Cafe or Sinh Cafe on De Tham Street. You get to see some of Vietnam rugged coastline if you take the train from Nha Trang to Hue.

How u book hotel in dalat/nha trang? U book at the kim/sinh cafe or when u reach dalat/nha trang then u book? If not wrong, u will reach about 4-5am if u take the night coach 10pm from hcmc....

I always take the morning bus and arrive in the evening around 5-6pm for Da Lat. You get to see more hilly countryside(rubber, cashew plantations in Dong Nai and tea plantation in Lam Dong; especially around Bao Loc area)as the bus goes uphill. I almost never book in advance for hotel. Google for a few names or stay at the hotel where the Sinh Cafe bus stopped. If you don't like the hotel, change to a new one next morning.

I only take the night train from HCMC to Nha Trang. It arrived in the morning,
just in time for ca phe sua da and bun bo Hue breakfast.
