Am new to the forum. And first of all thanks for all the education.

Do I text them in English or Chinese? Or call in English or Chinese? Not sure what the protocol is for these things. Would appreciate some advice.

Text if you prefer to use english, but most communication will be in chinese and usually gets you what you want quicker, haha.

Since it's your first time to BJ, here's a little story so you don't make a nasty mistake.

I once called a number from some web site. Quite sure it was not one of the numbers everyone talks about here. The girl they sent was not good looking at all and wanted some ridiculous amt of money. After arguing a bit, told her to go and the price came down dramatically. Still said no, though. Gave her some money for the taxi.

Maybe Lily and others are better, I will check it out one day. Maybe most of the English websites are for foreign suckers. If you do get a dog at your door, cut your losses (time) and don't make them worse (money). Just call back and tell them they need to do better. I don't know if the Lily/etc girls have a particular payment policy. Like I said, never used them.

I just returned from BJ after spending a week there. Was there alone on my 1st night, thereby access to the database of SBF and many thanks to all that had contributed. One bad experience is the Farmhouse Restaurant 农家饭，Y700 for 2 persons and food was terrible, especially the fish asked them several times how much the smallest fish weight, they keeps replied 1 cattie and they will give us the smallest but ended up with a 3 catties fish. The price are of no difference from the city restaurants. Unless there are strong recommendation think most can give it a pass. The Farmhouse Restaurant in other province I visited fares much better and reasonable providing tastier meals.
