If you want to bring your family (kids) to Batam for a holiday, then it’s a different “game play”.
Harris and Holiday Inn are all very good resort for the family, nice and good facilities for both individual and family fun.
Both have very nice theme swimming pools where the kids will love them. Apart from that, there are also other activities like the various sea sports, Jet Ski, Water Ski ect + Go-Kart, Soft Gun (latest version of the Paint Ball game) ect ect ect…..
In Batam, there’s more to do then just the KIO KWAY fun….

A new eating place FOOD CITY just opened last nite, located next to DC Mall, similar to A1 style pujasera/food court, but they also have a big indoor section in case of rain.
For BEER drinkers, GOOD NEWS, very good opening promotion (for 1st month), you spend Rp.50k on drinks, they will give you a Rp.50k drinks voucher, it's like buy one get one free...!!!
Beer prices are even lower then some of the other pujasera, Bintang Bir = Rp.13.5k.
Food wise also good selections, I tried 1 small stall selling ayam goreng (best to go with beer), very special type of fried chicken, owner is a SinKaPoLian, 50+ nice uncle to drink beer and TCSS with, stall name is Mangga Dua.
The only one thing I doesn't like about this place is the noisy live band playing on stage, I never like loud music when I eat, other then that, place is very nice, especially with the drinks promotion going on...

Hi Batam man,

I will be there to look for GF too.

But this GIRL is a girl I met thru chat room. She lives in Batam. Wants me to go visit her. I would like to have massage at Batam too as it's quite cheap. So I thought I will ask her to join me. After our massage, i thought maybe we can do it in the room when the masseus leave.

Anyway, I was thinking if i should ask her to bring me to Harris resort or some other resort (maybe u can recommend) as we can have some seaside activities or other things rather than stay in Nagoya walking around aimlessly. What is the rate at Harris? Any other suggestions?

You've been to Batam right? If plan A failed, just go for plan B, Batam had not change much, you should be able to get your way around.

Of course and expected, mostly water theme activities for kids. But I believe that there are amusement centres for kids at the bigger shopping complexes, for example, at Batam Centre and even the one next to Top 100. Btw, are there any other new and big shopping complexes that have sprang up over the last two years and with more extensive facilities?

I shall stop asking after this...not too appropriate after all.

Amusement centres for kids = Try BCS Mall, there is Time Zone and Mega Mall with 2 kid's indoor playground.
The latest and biggest mall is Nagoya Hills.

Is Goodway a good hotel? My girl called up the hotel and was quoted $75 SGD.

I check internet studio unit only $55. Which is best way to book hotel there? Walk in or internet.

Any other good hotel (nice rooms and facilities) but not too ex. mayb below 70 sing.
