Well call me kiasu/kiasee or whatever but there is a reason why there are so many online scams, leaks, hacks, scandals....ETC in this world, cos many underestimated the power of malwares & trojans hidden in such innocent softwares

You are really wanbao liao, I have been doing this tactic for the past 10 years++ liao, purposely kept 1 old laptop with no face camera in the orpit just for browsing personal stuff as this way even if anybody manages to penetrate into my laptop there is practically nothing to steal kekekeke this is why I need to test around as not all VPNs works with the older version of windows

i don't know you all know or not. Actually VPN is also not safe. Even thou all traffic is encrypted, all traffic data is still visible at the VPN server. VPN is just adding 1 layer to secure your traffic from your ISP.
VPN hosting company can see your IP, Data and sell them to Big Data companies or whoever want to buy.

In this world nothing is free...there will be a price to pay or company providing free will have to look for funding...similar to sbf needs funding...

as a anonymous small fry user like us...why bother to worry so much..

This is open public knowledge as to how a VPN works as it is simple method yet effective in bypassing banned sites restrictions to me it is okay as its actually an extremely small price to pay for the convenience as moreover I only surf SBF and some other forums on it, most of the time for all other "legitimate" & normal internet surfing I would not even turn it on

For VPNs I am actually more worried about hidden trojans & malwares which can do much more harm then our data on websites traffic
