But as a general rule of thumb, 3 star hotels ( and Airbnb) generally don't bother too much about your guests. Some may require you to check in together, some may need your guest to register and some may have a guest curfew (if not registered earlier). I have been to Saigon 7 times in the past year and never had any problems with staying with my FB throughout many different hotels. Had other girls over for ST and overnights without any issues before as well. This includes hotels at satellite towns like Thu Dau Mot.

Understand the more atas 5 stars might be more strict...but again it depends. I stayed once at New World and did not run into any restrictions.

Well I have never proclaim to act, look or even try to be locals, I am Sinkie and will always look like one regardless of how I am dressed or how I behave or speak so really nothing wrong in staying in D1,D3 or D5 as its near to places I want to cheong during my trips

You really need to read carefully before you post, I also stated that I have been staying at the same hotel for the past few years and am getting cheaper rates than Agoda too

Solly hor uncle I am not a freeloader as what you have made me out to be.....

As a moderator you should know very well the origins of such point systems came about, it is to reward forumners whom have made a constructive post that have benefited some others, and that some others whom have benefited from that particular post will then show their gratitude by awarding the points accordingly (if they have such points to award in the first place).

In this way a forumner whom have accumulated a lot of points thru the above really shows his real maturity, seniority and constructive contributions to the forum, and not thru soliciting points exchange to boost their own total points.

However I will need to qualify myself before I get blasted for my comments above, I respect everybody regardless of how they view or administer the point system as to each his own, there are no rights or wrongs here, I am not a saint too but it is just not in my personal character to go around soliciting points exchange. However if anybody PMs me for exchange, I will still do it as I have pointed above I will still respect others whom subscribe to this exchange thingy tho till now I had been "cheated" a few times by some whom did not reciprocate back after I had agreed and up them

Tio lah it is never a cast in stone thingy

New World no problem is simply becos they have their own Catwalk KTV inside so they need to allow overnighters but do not try with all other 5 stars hotels as they comply very strictly with the law unless you book another room or your GF is not Wetnamese or you are married to your VB

Its simple actually, in summary originally Hardob posts indicated that he had problems contacting A&Em thru Agoda to confirm if they are GF-frenly so I suggested to him to contact A&Em directly (by searching their website) instead of going thru 3rd parties like Agoda, note we did not talk anything about prices and such at all thru out.

Subsequently Aishiteru suddenly pop up & quoted my last post and his first sentence was "Actually I feel booking A & Em is cheaper through Agoda as compared to the hotel's website"

I think this is self-explanatory liao, like what I have said, you need to read in totality in order to understand & not just glance thru
