Also if you have time you can take bus no 389 directly from Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya. It cost only 134 baht and departures are every hour between 7:00am and 10pm. http://http://www.airportpattayabus.com/2012/

Re: Pattaya

Fyi , Current closing times for WS is 330-4am. Plenty of time to find a desprate pooying waiting to pay next month's rent! I know coz i was out the last two nites till the sun came out!

But its pretty dumb of you not to book online for a nite or 2. Imagine all the hassel of walking around looking for a hotel in the middle of the nite.

bro datou's arrival time is 11pm... at that late hour I think his only option is the taxis.

Not sure Bell's last trip what time so just take a cab to Pattaya straight. No doubt Bro Naemlo's advice is correct but spending that money on hotel room near airport, BTW I think no budget hotel near airport, might as well take a cab straight to Patts.

Dunno why u not book on-line for 1 or 2 nights first. Now low season and many rooms on Buakow for Bht500 up. Old but clean, can check out places like Lek Apartments on Agoda. Check in, freshen up, still have time to chiong and mayb take one back to hotel to snuggle up to. Some agogos in Walking Street like Diamond Agogo on Soi Diamond close as late as 4:30am.

Good luck!

I prefer to sleep on a bed and have a good shower so I dun mind spending few hundreds baht. I did once in old and new airport.

Lat Krabang, the hotel mini van will pick u up from airport, at midnight, less than 15 mins on the road. Next morning, will send u back to airport. About 500thb with breakfast and wifi. Condition of the hotel is like watana.

Don Meung, same as above except close to old airport. Mini van will pick n send back. Cheaper at 350thb without BF.

Those who need to transit BKK late in the night, have a morning flight to catch and dun feel like going all the way to the town or dun like to sleep in the airport, can google for the hotels.

Re: Pattaya

Thanks to Bros above for your helpful replies.
If u need info on AC ,just ask.

I fly to SVB airport be there for 11 days then to AC.
I travel alone as newbie n land at midnite, safety is my major concern thats y i thought of looking for hotel at Pattaya during daytime instead of making midnite journeys though i should hv booked my hotels (maybe still not too late)
I would likely not be cheonging alot ,more on discovery, though temptation might change my mind.

I actually wanted last 2 days for bangkok stay before flight out, now i m considering y not put it on the 1st 2 days since i arrived bangkok 11pm.
Any recommended abt 1000bht budget hotels safe walking distance from Nana?
Transportation to Pattaya from Nana area (pref bus)?
Thks again.

Jasmine.... u are referring to Jasmine Lodge off Wlaking street? I paid 700baht per night. Good location, nice room & friendly staff but downside is many LBs hanging around due to the Katoey bars outside the hotel.

SVB- PTY is it 1 way or 2 way? If only 1 way then 1500 is expensive. Taxi is only 1100 baht..... but if 2 way then it is worth it.

Depending on who my travelling companions are..... sometimes we go the cheap Charlie way and ride the buses and sometimes we splurge by booking the Limousine from Devil's Den with 2 hot babes included for the ride.

Its at Soi BJ Walking Street Nongpure, Banglamung, Pattaya, Chon Buri.

700bht is for standard room, i guess, which is not available now

Taxi fare is of 1 way (which i ask them to re-quote with return to airport fare).(In Minivan).

Book 1or2 nites in pattaya, maybe a hotel in LK metro like Pasedena Lodge. Gogo just next door and you wont waste cheonging time. Prebook taxi so the pattaya driver will know where to drop you. A bangkok driver may not know

Yes that's the one with the Katoey bars inside Soi BJ and many LBs hanging around the entrance. Btw avoid the rooms on the ground level as those are ST rooms....... and I hope you are not an early sleeper as it is only a stone's throw away from Walking street with its blaring music.
