God does not help those who are DUMB ARSE!! All tourists gets carrot headed in one way or the other in any country that they visit. No different anywhere else in the world.

If you did get carrot headed, it just means you didn't do your homework. Do not blame the locals.

Now that you are a seasoned traveller to Phuket(only), hope you will be more humble and not curse anyone in other places that you will visit and MOST DEFINITELY be carrot headed AGAIN.

Read at Phuket Gazette that there will be no alcohol sales on 12/Apr at Soi Bangla, Patong beach to ensure safety... This is the 1st time though not sure whether they will fully enforce or not.. Based on the article, even drinking at roadside also can't and local authority will catch who break the rule..

I'm quite surprised nobody talks about the coyote bars/thai-disco style clubs in Phuket Town like Duzz and Glamour. Good fun, hot girls, and easy on the pocket.

Hi All,

Just need to check - if I'm not wrong, Phuket only really celebrates(closing of bars/shops, all-out water fights) Songkran on 1 day and 1 night, because it is too disruptive to tourist activity.

Which day is it on, the 12th or the 13th? Or am I wrong? Because I know most of Soi Bangla bars/discos close(maybe not Soi Seadragon or small Sois off Bangla) on 1 night and the whole street is just wet mayhem.

This year it seems there is an alcohol ban on the 12th too!

Hi all, any recommendation on hotels ard mid range of $60 thats friendly. Sorry for probably asking a dumb question. If i got a normal hotel but not gal friendly, wat will happen? They bar my guest from entering the premises???? Appricaiate the help. Thanks in advance

they will charge u an amount if you bring another guest to your room , the last time i went , i was charged 1500 baht per person.

Not all hotels are girl friendly...... so I get around that problem by telling them I am checking in for 2 persons and my girlfriend will be joining me later.

Im gonna touch and go at phuket for about 9 hours, was thinking where to go chiong since everyone chiong overnight and summre ill be there like from 12pm to 9pm only.
