Taki should had improved after all the training and shooting drills. In fact most players in first team training should had improved. Klopps training is tough and only players who trained well gets to play ahead of pecking order.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
So glad both of us are wrong! We had predicted a draw
Seems like a well controlled match. I wonder if the guys who watched the match last night... are you feeling tired today? Age has caught up with me. I find it harder to recover from watching a late night match. Stevie G won too. I will pay more attention to Aston Villa's results from now on. Just in case he really becomes our next manager. I think it may be a smash and grab counter attacking match for Aston Villa

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Very sad today, Ole will be sacked hours away. The board already voted to sack Ole after Watford humiliation.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
That'll do nicely!
Not the greatest first half but a very good second half. Great to see all our forwards scoring(including Taki), some fabulous goals as well(Jota and Taki), clean sheet, very good substitutions(will return to this later below). Ramsdale was their man of the match. Without him, it would have been 8-0. Rookie mistake from Arteta by blowing up at Klopp, awakening our fans and our players. We are so much better when we play with a bit of aggression. Always have been under Jurgen. I wish the crowd could’ve started like that though. Soon as Klopp changed to 2 midfielders sitting, Ox came alive and Thiago from deep, was running the game. Anyone writing off Thiago doesn't understand football. Class act! I know i moan at Jurgen's substitutions at times but I think he got them spot on last night. Great for Henderson and Minamino to be involved in a goal within a minute of coming on and for Morton to make his PL debut. Mo's wizard skills level was back again and can see Salah scoring in his next 10 games now, after his little 'drought'. Don't want to jinx it but Virgil nearly looking back to the player he was before that injury. Just hope Jota is alright after that bad knock. Oh and think Kostas has proven he is our in form LB at the moment so it should now be him starting first and Andy working hard to fight for a return. Finally, quick shout out to Steve G for having a good start to his PL managerial debut. Hope he can take points away from our rivals, especially Chelsea & City. Porto next over the midweek. Interesting to see what team Klopp puts out. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Taki's skills level has definitely improved. The final bit lacking now perhaps might be his physicality aspect? That said, what Minamino really needs now is more game time to up his rythm and confidence. Hopefully he shall get a proper run out during Afcon and shine for us.
Have to say this on Klopp's team selection that he does seem to play favourites at times. Latest eg would be playing Robbo ahead of Tsimikas even when Kostas looks to be more in form. And also in Taki's case after his excellent performance against Palace, one would have thought he deserved a run of games but this did not materialise. Interesting to see what Klopp does through this season. Quote:
No doubt Stevie G would be an ideal romantic choice but it must be done strictly on merit. Tbf going by Stevie G's first presser after his Villa appointment it is clear that he has only Villa on his mind. This is good and I wish him well. Interestingly Stevie G started with a Klopp style 433, Watkins and Ings looked comfortable. Time as they say will tell in the long term. |
