Went to a money changer in Bedok to ask for rates. Rate was 24.2.

Heard from my friends some places can get 24.3.

Super rich will be good if you exchange a lot. Google for it and u will see the exchange rates for the day.

If u stay in Jurong and the rates is 1=24.2 while I tell u Tampines is the best 1=24.3.... will u go all the way to Tampines to exchange???? Assuming u changing 2000SGD, you will get additional 200THB

For me, I will change where it is easy accessible to me. I dun go all the way to golden miles unless I am near there to exchange.

My norm place is UOB opp my apartment in BKK. The rates sucks but it is walking distance. I dun want to waste time and effort because of 100, 200 THB.

It's all about Choices.

Your choice to change nearer to u is up to u.

Others might have different opinion.

For me, if I were to make a trip down, I will make sure I will do more than just changing $$$$. If I am in Chinatown, I will continue with a foot massage. If I am at Golden Miles, I will go opposite for a good bowl of wan tan noodle.

Now I am waiting for Baht to drop & I will change big again.

It is your money, your time.... no one says u r wrong. I can't control how u spend your time n money.

A norm person will always think he gains cos he makes his 1SGD to earn another 1 or 2 satang.

I stay n spend money in Thailand. Why dun when I am back in SG, I travel all the way down to GM and change 20-30K? Cause definitely GM rates will be better than Thailand most of the times. The reason is simple, to me, 20-30K I can make use of it in other ways. "Playing" currency with 20-30k is not worth the effort.
