Erm....better not think this way. Hotels are all prone to police spot checks as long as the police got permission from headquarters. No hotels are safe. Better let all this shit blown over before thinking of going there again. Cheong safely. You wouldn't want to get locked up for cheonging would you ?

I think if you wana sian the local ah meis isnt that hard. The thing is that most of them will want to come down to Sillypore once they get boyfriends. So be prepared for that. They arent just for flings.

Anyway its better to get a local minah to play with as they are more down to earth and from what i see i havent got a minah asking me to bring her to Sillypore.

By the way, during my last trip 2 weeks ago i was staying at Maxi with some bros. According to my conversations with the locals working in the hotels, its not a guarantee the polisi wont raid your hotel rooms. The thing is if your girl looks damm young (SYT) than if polisi spots you with her on the streets, than chances is they may follow you back and arrest the girl.

Whatever the reasons, they are the bosses there and if we really wana cheong there, than maybe indoor activities is the way to go.

Unless the girls got their tepae (I/Cs) made, then the polisi wont arrest them.

Its just my 2 cents.

So far confirmed raids spots are Balai, Batu and Batam (as mentioned by SBF bros in this thread). No news from Pinang though.

Just got back from Batam last weekend (17-19 May).

Didnt really hear much of the raids there though things are relatively quiet as per normal.

I went Pacific and many FLs still operating there.

Karaokes still open as usual.

Hotel that I stayed also did not report anything usual - normally they will as I am regular there.

For safetly sake gd not to go down till the storm is over. I was locked up once 2 yrs back and things are not pleasant. Though we were release after a night at the police post, you tend to get edgy and anxious. They will also threatened you but gently once a while.

We just paid the official rate of 15 000 RP for a small fine and then left. However, I heard of cases whereby a fine of 1000 Spd has to be paid before they release you or else they will charge you in court.

So for bros who are not so regular in Btm best to avoid the scene there and just enjoy our local massage parlours lor...they aint that bad actually.

This is a delayed mini-FR of my Tanjung Pinang trip. This is a very brief FR but I can happily answer any further questions. This is my first trip there and I went alone on Tuesday afternoon and returned on Wednesday evening.

Ferry: Indo Falcon 3 (SIN-TP) 90 minutes. The air-con never got comfortable.
Guide: Went with a guy who was inside the immigration building and he speaks english as my 20 word bahasa indonesian vocabulary is still in the oven.
Stay: Rainbow Hotel (Deluxe room) - $40(225,000)
Getting around: Used the hotel car service. Great service at only $10/hour, includes complimentary trips to and from the ferry terminal.
Girls: Batu 24, a small and friendly village where 100's of girls live in surprisingly clean houses. I paid 300,000 including a police report fee of 20,000. Booked a girl at around 5:00 in the evening and she stayed till 8:00 AM the next day. Service is moderate-to-good, helps a lot if you can speak at least some indonesian. Paid her $10 tips for her return transportation as it is quite far from the hotel.
Massage: The next morning I visited a spa suggested by the guide, he probably gets a comission. A full-body scrub followed by full-body massage. The girls are very very professional, no specials are available though but it is worth every cent. 2 hours of massage for only $40
Massage+: This is a place where specials are offered with moderately good massaging skills. 50,000/hour for the massage and 100,000 for full specials. Just talk to the girl before you jump into the specials.
Eat: The first day I ordered room-service. Food quality is good and also fast. The next day I had my breakfast(included) at the hotel and hit to the nearby KFC after the massage as my stomach was growling.
Took the return ferry(Wavemaster), yeah I missed the falcon and I had to buy a new ticket. Wavemaster is much better than indo falcon and it took only 90 minutes for the return journey

Overall the trip was great, don't let me poor expressive writing skills fool you. I rather had a lot of fun and really enjoyed the whole trip, however short it may be. One more thing I noticed is that the place is very calm and peaceful contrary to our bustling shores.

BTW, if you are going alone I strongly suggest you get a guide. Funny thing is that there is no official means of public transportation in TP. We can only get some min-bus more like a van that are run by local drivers but you really can't use them because you have to know exactly where you are going as he probably will not help you out. Just use the hotel car service, it is also much safer. If you need my guide's contact number, PM me. Also if you gained any useful knowledge from my rather crude FR do up my reputation and enjoy the pictures.

Tidbits:
Now that TP is more like the capital of Riau Islands, corruption has become pretty prominent. If you have enough money you can literally run the whole place.
Overall people are very friendly and if you see someone with an attitude, ignoring them will work fine.
Internet cafes are rare but I got a good one with high speed access. I paid around 5,000 for sort-time(I know what you pervs are thinking)

Now for the best part of my whole trip, I am not sure how many of you know this but here it goes. Batu 24 also known as kilometer 24(Bukit Indah) is not just confined but also screened by the government. It seems that health checks happen almost every week and if any of the girls are found to be infected, they will be immunized and refrained from further acts of prostitution. Isn't that comforting? I know, it is for me.
