Point 1: if he got 15years, base on combine salary of at least 10k, will have 1.8 million.

So he lie that he don't even have 700k.

400,000 divide 15 years divide 12 months = only less than $2,300 per month.

So again he lies that not enough, only require 2k+ but earns more than 10k combined.

Just my few cents.

There may be some contradictory points from TS but I can understand as it may be uneasy to divulge everything truthfully in this forum.

In general I think TS has been accurate in that our money seems to be getting smaller and smaller. I track my daily expenses and I have to say that things are getting very expensive. I do not know about the majority but my salary does not seem yo grow as fast as my expenses. Case in point, 20 years ago a hoe of noodles cost $1.5 onwards (usually $2). 10 years ago the average was $2.5. Nowadays it is $3 but with 3 quarters the amount of noodles. (I may not be that accurate but just to illustrate general price progression).

Next we have to understand that the middle class is a very wide class here. A middle class person may be living in HDB or condominium. His combined household may be from 5K upwards (again this may not be accurate as economists my have a different number). Hence some brothers may feel that TS is labelling himself as middle income and yet sound very rich.
