bo pian...i thought over the whole situation these few days when i am jobless.I was too implusive back then and I do not know what I was searching for...now that i come to terms that I do not have the means to fly over just like that.I realised how rash i am to always go over when problems arises.I guess what's meant for me will be fated,what's not meant for me shall be a passing phase.I pushed too hard back then...

Bo leh me and her together is not about fark,more often than not we enjoyed each other company and go out look movies,eat and slack around.Pretty or not does not matter bah,as long as enjoy each other company.I am not handsome or rich so can not ask for much...

Dear Jun,

Let me share some personal experiences with you. My wife has been to Singapore almost 5 times now in the past 3 years. And every trip that she is here never fails to end up in a quarrel between me and her.

This is because of a few factors. Again, this is according to my wife and may be neccessarily apply to all Thai women.

1) HOUSEHOLD MATTERS
a) They can't bloody communicate with 1) your parents b)your friends (unless you wish to invite the fluent thai speaking Samsters to your hse everyday )) . She will have trouble during dinner, helping your mom in the kitchen (if she DOES help in the 1st place) and with the laundry... etc. hope your picture the scenerio)

b) Can she even understand any of our TV programmes ???? Do you expect her to just look at your pretty face all day long ?? Just in case you forget, there are no Thai subtitles in Sillypore TV.
The past few times when my wife was here, we had to go buy like 20-30 thai VCDs so that she could stay at home to watch while I went out to work. Unless u feel rich and the you can go to Golden Mile and pay thru your ass for VCDs.

c) Most of our singaporean food are too bland for the thai taste buds. (even our spicy dishes are considered mild) . You will probably end up scouring the whole of Singapore to look for food to satisfy her taste buds. Either that for you can head to the Thai supermarket at Golden Mile after you reach Changi airport and stock up your fridge on thai veges and food.. btw, they aren't very cheap.. u can easily spend up to S$100 for thai groceries.. they go fore a fraction in Thailand so advice is to buy the food that she likes in Thailand 1st b4 coming here)

2) GEOGRAPHICAL DISORIENTATION

a) She will be cooped up all day long at home unless you wish to remain JOBLESS and be her beck and call every min and second. All our bus signs are in English (duhhh) and due to fact that English (or Singlish) is our national language, she is gonna have real problems getting from A to B. But like I said, if you are at her beck and call all day then it's not a problem. I know I couldn't cos I had to bring the beacon home

b) Most Thai WLs are simple people... their most form of enjoyment is 1) drink beer/whisky and gossip with friends.. 2) play cards with friends 3)go shopping for clothes OR gold 4) watching Thai soap opera becos they can relate to it . When my wife was here ( she is not a WL by the way), all we did was to spend most of our free time drinking beer with my friends at my front porch, play "Gow Gay" (the thai version of poker) or "pok dang" (thai version of black jack) with my friends or she sit and watch me play mahjong. Alternatively, you can indulge in her other plausible pastime which is shopping (honestly given your financial situation, I highly doubt you will be able to do that). I spent almost close to S$2,000 (including air ticket) during my wife's 2 week stay in SG. Think about it S$2,000 (or almost 50,000 Baht) can feed you and your GF for 2 months in BKK. Sometimes I wonder why you even want to think about bringing your GF over... you must either really dumb or you kena Gong Tao. If you think you can do better (spend less than S$1500, let me know.. you can be my master. )

My fingers are getting tired (old man leo).... this is NOT the last thing you have to worry about.. the list will never end my friend.

3) AIRPORT

Are you going over to BKK to bring her over or is she coming over by herself. If she coming over by herself, has she even out of thailand B4 ?? If not, and she is coming over by herself, good luck to her at the thai airport and Singapore airport. Whilst she might not get lost, she will be in for a hard time looking for gate this and gate that (not to mention, if she got the WL face, she will kena interrogate at the SG passport immigration. ( but you can easily settle that by giving her your address, house number and hp number)

If you are going over to fetch her over, good luck to your expenses.... kekekeke

Like i said in my earlier posts, if you wish to you can call me at my thai hp or SG hp. Will be back in BKK on 15-18 and then back to SG.

The way I see it, you are probably in your 20s and I guess its part and parcel of your growing up to experience such love abroad. I am quite sure, after all the trial and tribulation, you will have to come and face the reality of life, and I guess you will probably run away from it and just end this whole episode cos you will finally uncover that your life is heading for a abyss.

I don't see how you can have a true happiness with a TG as you described. Its so diverse - cultural background , values, mentality and ways of self=sufficiently.

No worries, just dont any stupid things that will jeopardise your life or embarrass your family, and given time when this whole passion of yours had simmered down, you will just look back on this episode that eventually became part and parcel of your growing up. You'd be glad you gave up on it along the way!!

u are right about me going thru that phase in my life.I do wish to run away and wish i never started this "relationship" in the first place.So many issues to tackle and so little "experience" i have in dealing with such Long Distance Relationship.Maybe one day I would just change my handphone no and silently disappear which is very cruel i think
