Joe managed to get to know this malay truck driver from an online forum. He shared the stories of his mother getting violated by his friends with him and asked if the guy would care to help him take revenge. He was willing to pay him 200 dollars for his help. The guy's name is Rahim and he agreed to help.
It was all very simple. Rahim managed to inflict a few bruises on Joe's body and typed out something that resembled a police report. Rahim had previously lost his identification card and filed a police report. He was given a report and he scanned in the letterhead and then typed in a summon for a certain Andy for inflicting grievous bodily harm to Joe and is regarded by law to be held in custody before he is brought before a magistrate and sentenced. He used another letter to type Joe's statement but he had left it unsigned. They wanted to coerce Andy's mother into submission to them in exchange for the destruction of that statement and to have a new one rewritten that will not be that harmful to Andy or even for the police to drop the case altogether. From Joe's description of Andy and his family, with them being a mandarin and hokkien speaking family, young mother and ah beng father, it is not hard to imagine such a woman being conned and frightened into submission.

So I shall continue the story after a few months hiatus.
Sorry guys please bear with me! Joe picked a day when Andy had a long day at school to strike. He had been to Andy's house several times and know that being in one end of the long corridor of a HDB flat in Bukit Panjang, any struggles or screams will not attract alot of attention. Especially if he and his accomplice curb the source as soon as possible. From one glance, you can tell that Andy's mother is those young and bimbotic girls who got pregnant early and had no choice but to start a family. So Jasmine went to look for her keys in haste and opened the door for us quickly. You could see the raw emotions behind those almost nervous eyes of hers.
They sat down on the sofa in the living room and Rahim continued. Rahim: May I know if Mr Koh is at home? I think it would be important to speak to both parents and let them understand the proceedings of what is going to come. Jasmine was clearly flustered, she barely mumbled: he is out at work. My husband is already on very bad terms with my son after his many disciplinary records. My husband belted Andy the last time his teachers complained about him and Andy ran away from home for many days. I really do not dare to think what will happen this time. He will be the death of his father. Rahim: it is ok, I will just brief you and show you the medical report and police report Joe has made. It is not yet official because of the seriousness of this matter. If he is charged for aggravated assault, the lightest punishment would be 3 years inside a reformative training centre, He could even go to jail and the future of this young man will definitely be destroyed. Jasmine was looking very pale and shocked as she took in what was said. Rahim handed her the documents we prepared and allowed her to slowly process what Joe and Rahim had concocted up for her. By the time she finished reading, Rahim told Joe to remove the shirt and for Jasmine to inspect the wounds. She was really gentle as she placed her hands on Joe's body and was almost caressing his wounds in order to make the pain go away. She was truly at a loss and was repeatedly apologizing. Jasmine: Joe I am sorry that Andy did such a terrible thing. I apologize for him, We are really sorry, I beg you not to pursue this matter and I am willing to do anything for you. I can compensate you for the medical fees and give you extra money but please do not let my son and your good friend go to jail. Please I beg you. I do not know what will happen to my family if that happens. I do not want this family to fall apart... Jasmine was desperate and in tears.. A caring Rahim gently placed his arm on her shoulder and told her not to cry. Rahim: Madam, please do not be sad. It is really not in the powers of Joe as this is a really serious offence. Although I have not submitted the documents but once I do so later after going to Andy's school and taking his statement from him, he will be charged in court and and you need to prepare bail for him.Meanwhile he might be ordered to stay at a boy's home for further evaluation by the court. Jasmine was sobbing by this time and she managed between her sobs her pleas: Officer, please! DO not arrest my son. He is too young to understand anything. I will do everything to change my son. please sir... Rahim offered her some tissue and looked awkward. He said: Madam.. i really want to help you.. but it will not be right... I can see that you are really a good mother. I am sure Andy will change after going through reformative training.. Jasmine's tears were flowing freely by now and she could only said continuously that she is sorry for her son's behavior and promised us that he would change. Then Rahim moved in for the kill. He said in a low voice: Madam, now I have a solution but can we move to another part of your house like the kitchen or bedroom, I do not wish for Joe to overhear us. Jasmine was clearly relieved at this sudden reprieve and any form of hope for her son was certainly welcomed. She had no idea what will be proposed but the young naive mother will soon find out.
