I was sitting having breakfast around 12 today (yes late breakfast as too tired to wake up after the boom boom sessions). An american guy came and sat near me and told me and the other there that his wallet got pick pocketed about 5 minutes ago. While walking down Fields Avenue near Club Genesis, a guy approached him to sell Viagra and Cialis. He almost bumped into him and a few seconds later he realized his wallet is missing !!! The guy was really red faced and asking where he could report to the Tourist Police etc. His passport card , money , credit cards were all inside. Sigh ....

For those heading to Angeles, please be careful of the viagra vendors and always keep your wallet in the front pocket and other possible precautions like don't take all the money with you and leave some back in the hotel room.

No wonder la! Army boy will have things more difficult coz they dont want you to awol. I've already discovered Thailand before NS and applied to go a few times but only had the chance to go once and that was already waiting for ROD.

Most probably the guy oredi kenna targetted by the syndicate.

Common modus operandi is the syndicate members will observe the people barhopping and take note who they are with, their habits, whether you are timid or garang type, seasoned cheonger or newbie etc. and whether you can be makan type.

Once they found a suitable target...... they will wait to spring the trap when you next appear in their territory.

There are several active syndicates operating in fields ave alone.....
1) the ciallis / viagra / cigarette vendors group;
2) the trikees (one group always assemble near Santos st);
3) the trikees (2nd group outside BKK hotel near the junction);
4) the trikees (3rd group near the row of $$$changers at checkpoint);
5) the souvenirs peddlars group near to Skytrax;
6) the "customers" at the KTV bars in the street beside fields ave.

These are those groups oerdi well known in fields ave....... there are others operating in the malls / perimeter or anywhere else in AC so be aware and dun carry more money than you need for the day's expenses.

It is always good to makes friends with the bar owners or the locals that you meet frequently as the syndicate is unlikely to target you if they see you have the "connections".

First of all...... I wonder how big his wallet is.
Secondly....I dun see a reason why u must carry ur passport with u when u go out barhopping.
Finally.....Why do u even need to bring out ur wallet in the first place ????

Bring out what u can afford to spend/lose when u go out.

Only a few ways for them to know.

1) When u take out ur entire wallet full of money to pay for something

I'm going to Clark nest week, possible to enlighten me where to obtain the best rate of Peso money changer? Either in airport or some where in Angeles City?

Once touch down, the only budget transport to Angeles City is jeepney, ( cost 50peso, based on the FR of bros here ) any other types of transport, since we travel in group.

Really appreciate the kindness of all the sifus here.

But after u drop off at Jolly Bee, how far u wanna walk with all ur luggages ?

How many ppl ?
If 4 ppl might as well pay for a taxi. I think 350pesos.

Or stay in a hotel which provides free transport to/from Clark Airport.

We all stay in Natalie Hotel, I think very near to the Jolibee in Angeles City. So we decide to stop by Jolibee.

No need 2 taxis..... take the MPV taxi which can accomodate up to 7 pax..... just pay extra 100p on top of the taxi rate (should be around 400 + 100 = 500p total fare)

Honeypot bar re-opened as "The Spearmint Rhino" last saturday

I think is is just a change of name cos the interior decor remain almost the same...... with the same mamasan and about 70% of the gals were oso the same ex-honeypot gals.
