thanks bro. My work place is at Plom Chit, so Thong Lo is pretty near, just 2-3 BTS stn away. But I was told come next year, the office will shift to somewhere near the new airport (bloody far) and there will be transports provided at a few BTS/Subway stn to fetch us to work.

For me, will only be there for 1 year so the shifting of office will inconvenience for abt 3 mth the most.

Thong lo is the better place lar. It's GOLD! Sathorn is very boring in the night. Thong Lo got a lot of movie/tv stars hanging out around there. The supermarket at 55 there a bit expensive hor. But if you go around and look for a nearby Big C (ekkamai), you can get ALL that you need.

I will say Thong Lo will be your best option then. Probaly ur free shuttle services to your new work place next time will be at On Nut BTS which is 3 station away from Thong Lo. For cheaper grocery, plenty options... Carrefour, Lotus Tesco at Phram 4 and both also available at On Nut. For food wise, plenty of road-side food at both Sukhumvit 55, 38, Ekamai, Petchburi Rd. FYI, most Japanese expats are staying in Thong Lo area.

I will do the apartment viewing come this tuesday at Sathon area (company HR have arranged) and then will reject and ask them to arrange those at Thong Lo / Phorm Pong area.

As mentioned, I went to Thong Lo last week and I really like the place, just like HKG, very crowded.

I am in Bangkok for few nights, staying at Holiday Inn hotel.

Last night I was walking around Nana plaza and the surroundings... I find quite tough to be alone in those bars as it would be good to have a chap to talk to while having some fun looking at the girls and then talking with them.

Be it anywhere,the regulations or standards of 'performing' change from time to time. Due to frequent checks from the mata. One has to count himself lucky to go the time where checks are slack.
