Very tough game and I'm sure Coutinho wants to prove himself.
Suarez will have no mercy and we do not have to discuss Messi.

I did pick Man City as the champion before the start of season so 2 games left, and think my prediction still holds true.

I picked Man City to be champions at the start of 1996/97 season, with 2 matches left, looks like my prediction was right more than 2 decades ago

Seriously Pool should focus more on winning the CL now as I don't think Mcity will slip up against Leicester n Brighton...
Progressing so much is useless if u can't win anything @the end of the season!
It's just like telling people how smart u are but u can't score distinctions in your final exams..

Liverpool should have been 3 up by now if the ref had been fair or used VAR. Robbed of 2 penalties and red card for Pique.

Not sure why Klopp play Gini in place of Firmino in the starting formation??? (reason was Firmino was not match fit)

And Salah should have scored an away goal in the 2nd half.

The free kick goal by Messi was a beauty. And we were lucky not to concede more goals in the dying minutes.

There's a lot of work to do now back at Anfield next week. FCB will park the bus and defend their 3 goal lead, and use opportunity to score an away goal.

Will be an interesting game back at Anfield. Remember Dortmund??? And Suarez won't be getting much cheers at Anfield.

Barcelona were classic and well deserved win.
At 32 Suarez is an animal and I felt weird when he celebrated wildly after scoring.
Messi goal was world class.
We focus on Newcastle.

Woke up to watch the whole match. Klopp definitely did not play his strongest 11. Klopp set out to disrupt Barcelona's flow and in the process, disrupted how we play too. Not sure why TAA is not playing. We missed his energy and his crosses. Hopefully there is no injury. Gini in place for Firmino definitely did not work out. He offered very little. I am beginning to think Shaqiri will be sold. Klopp will rather replace Firmino with Gini. Robertson was awesome as usual. We better tie him to a long contract.

Barcelona was not as dominant as the scoreline suggest. We were wasteful and in the semi-finals of the CL, that is a death blow. We take too many chances to score too few goals this season. So many draws could easily have been victories. Salah even missed a rather open goal by smashing his shot into the crossbar.

Actually I find both Suarez and Messi run much slower these days. Suarez is no longer the pacy forward he was when he was with us. Still full of tricks of course. Skilful but can see him definitely aging. Messi does not run as fast as he used to also. It is just hard to get the ball back when he is dribbling. I hope we unleash all our attacking strength in the return match.

The CL semi-finals is really weird. Those who played first leg on Wednesday (ajax, spurs) play 2nd leg on Thursday. Those who played first leg on Thursday(Barcelona and us) play 2nd leg on Wednesday. The rest time is different ya? How come Ajax and Spurs get 2 more rest days?

I wonder what the outcome would be should Mane and Salah put the ball in the net.

With their level of quality, missing such gifted chances was shocking.

I would have played a front 3 combination of Origi, Mane, Salah if Firmino was not fit to play.

a bit sad to see Coutinho being taken off as well, guess his time is really limited at FCB.

can't wait for the return leg to Anfield. we have to go all out.
