First game played in second gear. Second and third games we have been generally average.

But 3 games, 3 wins, 0 conceded and top of the league today. You can’t complain with that. 

It is early season and the Liverpool of old would have dropped points in at least one of those games. But we haven’t. Imagine what we’ll be like when we go beyond second gear?

What i particularly like this season thus far, is that we finally have a strong spine with the likes of Alisson(although i wish he would cut down that joga bonita stuff); VVD; Gomez(really showing us what he has to offer as a CB); Milner & Wijnaldum. This and we have yet to even see Fabinho hit form as yet.

Keita needs more time to settle in though and would love to see Shaqiri given a chance, perhaps as soon as against Leicester next.

Front 3 look a bit rusty and still need time to get up to speed but Salah is still Salah of old with that great finish of his.


Oh but how i wish we are already in May 2019 when i looked at the EPL table this morning!!

P.S. Wish Loris Karius all the very best at Besiktas. Hope he is able to rejuvenate his GK career.

Don't think Mane can be the #10 creative spark that is required to unlock those triple decker bus defences. Fekir was probably the answer but alas not to be. Guess Klopp just has to work on solutions with the group available to him currently. Combo of Keita and Shaqiri together with the front 3 in interchangeable positions perhaps? Pity Ox is out this season as he would have provided another useful option as well.

As for Aubayemaeng, he is fast becoming our headless chicken.

I suspect they are just not used to Unai's methods just yet....Take too long and Unai will become another Moyes....
