They are both in Malate. At Remedios Circle. Try searching for them on FB. Some of the MBC FLs come here as do the girls who work in the Jap KTVs according to one of the bros here.

Insomnia is pretty established, though Zzyzx is up-and-coming. No FR from anyone yet though on Zzy. I had wanted to go on my last trip but was too tired after clubbing at Republiq from Wed, then Fri and Sat.

From the photos taken at Zzy though, I'm suspecting more of the same. They initially hyped themselves as a glam location, but there ain't nothing glam about shorts and slippers. U can take it easy with the dress code at both places.

Oh one more thing: these places don't accept cards so remember to bring enough cash. And also, if u need to withdraw cash from the ATM while clubbing, ask the bouncer to come along and give a small tip. Peace of mind!

Sorry should have typed everything in one post: both clubs are accessible by walking (if u like a bit of adventure) but cabbing is really the way to go, if you are staying at Rivera, Pan Pac, Hyatt, etc.

Cab fare is less than 70PHP but safety is priceless.

Been to Zz club, short form since the real name is pretty darn hard to remember. Didnt the owners ever hear of vowels?? It's just a stone's throw away from insomnia as dkr mentioned. Apparently or allegedly opened by a close friend of the Insomnia's owner. They imported / lured some staff from Insomnia as well - recognized some of the bouncers and wait staff.

It's a bigger place than insomnia, but feel and music is almost 100% similar, as is the crowd.

The adv of these clubs, IMO, as compared to republiq / opus / icon is that it's cheaper (minimal cover charge or none if they know you), less strict / atas (you can get in easily with t-shirts), open EVERY day, and there's always a sizeable crowd there -- probably related to the fact that it's near the malate ktvs.

Main disadv - no cards, yea.

Pretty decent fishing areas as well, but pretty hard to tell for me at least, which of the girls are FLs and which aren't. But it really shouldn't matter I guess, a chick is a chick (esp when the lights are out or the blankets come up, haha.. )

I think the owner ripped the name off a club in the US. Doesn't matter anyway.

Another pet peeve of mine in these clubs is having random bouncers from A to Z coming up and giving me back massages. And the service is better towards Koreans.

I think another tip is to go to these clubs late like 1am or after. That's when the girls starting knocking off work.

Slim chance of that happening because I know the manager at Insomnia and she always assigns someone to my table. And I only withdraw what I need, so the bouncer is risking his livelihood while I risk 3k pesos at the max.

Having said that, I always feel more comfortable withdrawing money in the hotel but sometimes the situation calls for the alternative.

Go to Malls, like GB or Glorietta and withdraw max limit for the day per bank.

Ah, you think for 3,000 people will not risk their livelihood ? of course, you are right, but the guy can tip off another guy

Like a lot of time happens - girl working bar in Singapore, send money, to bank a/c as she been seasoned enough to not trust her own blood. Then go to Phil to bank to withdraw - for amount like 5,000 they have been stabbed as they walk out of the bank

Did you ever wonder why banks in Phil are strict with NO SHADES, NO HELMET, NO COVERING OF FACE .. and get this NO MOBILE phone use inside the bank .. ?

That is to stop people tipping others..

Still it happens, and sometimes, the suspect is the security guard .. though .. well, in PH Law, even murder cases need a complaint - or else nothing happens.

Don't forget the paying of "PISO" to the law enforcers for them to act fast .. if not .. I can knock you off, and walk like I don't have a worry in the world - even if your family force cops to act, by the time the case comes up, I may be in my 70's

Hmm.. can't really say, since when I went I BYO (bring your own)...

But the girl: guy ratio is similar to insomnia, almost 1:1 so don't think there would be any issues - in fact, the crowd is similar, so if you do ok at insomnia, you would probably be fine at zz.

Yea I usually pre load before hitting the clubs and anyway you probably know how much it would cost. Preload helps prevent you from over spending as well, or paying for other free loaders lol ..
