i was heartbroken and my grades were dropping and also i even lost interest in playing basketball. One of my team mates tell me to cheer up lets call him W(i drifted aprat with J as he is still with A's friend)

W: bro dont so sad i tell u what we go other place to trash people(we are refering to basketball by the way)

Me: huh ok lor but 2 of us only meh?

W: Jio B also then just nice liao.(W is a center, B is a forward and i am a shooting guard)

Me: anything lor.

so we arrived at eunos basketball court it was near the neighbourhood poilce post before the market caught fire.

B is a no nonsense basketball freak. the first thing that came out of his mouth was

B: wa those guys look not bad

Me: they much older than us they are supposed to be better.

W: eh the other side got girls watching leh

i turned my head to the other side of the half court and i saw a group of ah bengs playing ball. They were just lousy at it. but because got girls watching they have to act pro and do some half past 6 move. It was really funny to us who have spent all our lives playing the game with proper training.

Me: they play like shit/

B: dont waste my time. i dont come all the way here to play with losers.

W: sigh ok lor i just thought we can impress the girls.

So we went to play at the other court. We got win a few games but we lost a few games also as we were playing with people much older than us.

So the following week we decided to go back to eunos to play. At the very last moment W and B sent me a alpha numeric messsage to say theycant make it. since i was already on my way there i decided to just follow through.

Once i reached there the court with the better players dont allow me to play as i was considered an outsider and i dont have a team(basketball people) will know what i mean.

Then suddenly i heard opposite court got one ah beng shouted at me

Beng

ei we short of one player you want to play anot?

Me: anything lor

so the ah beng put me with the lousier players and i was thinking if i humilate him i confirm get into trouble so just play using basics. Shooting and passing nothing fanciful.

In the end my team won 11-3, 11-2, 11-6. after 3 games the beng admitted i was a better player. but i dont really want to mingle with him so i walked away to the nearest mama shop for drinks.

when i was back one of the girls walked up to me(lets call her s) she said

S: eh my friend want to know u

Me: which one?

S: the one in the calvin and hobbes t-shirt

Me: oh ok lor what is her name?

S: her name is PQ. eh u got pager anot.

i took a closer look. PQ is those cute cute kind of girl not chio but just v cute and u want to protect her kind. her boobs are small comapred to A but her legs are damn nice while A is fair and soft, PQ is tan and toned.

Me: have ar.

S: can give me i pass to her.

So i gave her my pager number and she gave me PQ pager number. When i reached home i received a voice mail. It was PQ and she ask me can chat on the phone anot. Since i was free i decided to call her

Me: hey

PQ: hello. what u doing?

Me: er talking to u?

PQ: i mean before this la.

Me: i just reached home actually.

PQ: wa just reach home only call me i must be very important to u,

Me: anything u say lor. i never say ar.

PQ: eeee. u so mean lor. anyway for a shortie u play basketball v well.

Me: there are positions that short players can play in basketball also ok.

PQ: ya la i know la dont so action can.

Me: like that also considered action.. ok lor u win lor. anyway i see u can speak english quite well why mix with those ah beng?

PQ: pls hor is they come mix with me not i mix with then eunos so small only got one court the other court also dont play with girls of course i have to play with those ah bengs lor.

Me: haha any of them tried to jio u?

PQ: have ar the ah beng who played with u today lor. lol he is still jioing me actually.

Me: then why dont u accept him?

PQ: i dont like guys that like to boast and show off all the time. i like guys who stick to the basics like you.

Me: huh? u only see me one time also can tell

PQ: i know u today play with him purposely 'fang shui' its so obvious to someone who knows how to play bball

Me: no la i really use all of my efforts to play liao. Give him some credit la.

PQ: next week u coming down again?

Me: sure why not.

So we had a little more small talk and i hung up. i spend the whole of my june holidays weekends at eunos. we met for lunch played ball went for dinner. but just as friends. We talked on the phone till late at night. Soon school reopens and i never knew what was going to be in store for me

it was friday after school. i was anxious to go home and go out with PQ we were supposed to meet at Tampines mall to watch movie.

As i walked out my school door i heard someone shout oei! i turned around and it was beng from eunos with much older bengs. i was thinking this must be the scenario with A all over again.

Beng: eh siao chee bye. why u so close to PQ

Me: we are just friends. normal friends hang out together v normal what.

this is the thing i dont understand about bengs why the fuck are they so possessive? even when i was a ah beng i never tried to tie my gf down or control them. but well thats for a later part. back to the story.

Beng: friend you mother chee bye u understand me anot

at this point of time i was abit cautious as i dont want to kena another cheapshot. so i stepped back abit. then beng's headman. lets call him LJ.

Lj: eh u dont try to be funny ok. People gf u also want to steal ar? u know where we from anot?

Me: i dunno PQ is his gf. she never told me before.

Beng: she never say u dunno how to open your cb mouth and ask is it?

Me: *awkward silence*

Lj: eh i tell u what v simple either u pay us $500 now or u fight with him*points to a murderous looking twice my size guy*

why the fuck am i always caught with a hobson's choice?
Me: i dont have money.

Lj; ok lor steady lor 1 on 1.

seeing that there is no way out i put my school bag on the floor when i heard a oei again. This time it was from a sec 4 retain student in my school he was with about 10 other sec 4 all the problematic people every assembly can hear their name kind.(my school got no normal stream so sec 4 is oldest) lets call him JJ.

JJ: oei siao eh u all so many bully one lower sec u all not pai seh ar?

LJ: who are u?

JJ: who am i? u dont need to know. u only need to know this school i za fit. u want to come here make trouble u try me.

LJ: eh u from where one.

JJ: i from 963. u should know around here all is my area. so what u want now?

LJ: this guy (points to me) also your men.

JJ: Yes.

LJ: but he steal my guy gf leh how to say. i think by law u need to gai guat him.

JJ: siao eh u how old liao this kinda thing also dunno let me teach u la. first and foremost law is standard no za bor tai ji. second bloody cb the girl not even here everything also u say one u think we what?

Lj: ok we as kthe girl come out talk tml. simei east point.

JJ: come lor. who scared who.

So Lj and beng and their crew left. this is when JJ come and talk to me.

Me: ya how u know.

JJ: XH god brother right?(XH is my god sister. she is the biggest lian in my school she kept me as a god brother in sec 1 cause she say i small size v cute)

Me: er ya.

JJ: lucky she come tell us what happen or else u confirm pok gai.

Me: but tml still have to pok gai what.

JJ: lj la i already chup this daiji u will be ok one. wont let people touch u. but if u not part of our gang i v hard to gao dai. why not u just say u under me ok?

Me: ok lor(that is my first step into the world of secret society)

JJ: eh G u go bac kgo talk to the girl as her wtf is going on. we need to get the full story.

ME: huh but if she really is beng gf then how?

JJ: dont worry even if she really is beng gf i will just push all the blame to her.

in my heart i feel v bad because i really got some feelings for PQ. i rushed home and called PQ

ME: hello PQ why u never tell me u r with Beng??

PQ: i not with him how to tell you?

so i told her what happened.

PQ: dont worry tml i will go down also.

Me: i think better not la i scared later something happen to you.

PQ: something happen to me better than something happen to you.

at this point i was v confused so i did not get the hint.

Sat at Simei East point.

As it was the enemy territory, JJ brought alot of people and the are scattered all over simei east point. Only about 10 of us were meeting LJ and beng. PQ is by my side.

Lj: chee bye still say never steal people gf.

PQ walks up to beng and says

PQ: eh since when did i become ur gf?

Beng: we play together everyday and eat dinner together everyday not bf and gf is what..

at this point jj and his crew were laughing like crazy

JJ: eh like that also can ar. like that got moustache your father wear skirt your mother is it. hahaha. eh lj like that no need to say liao right v clear is whose fault. but i steady i am a forgiving person. i no need you to gai guat beng. just teach him some BGR skills lol.

Beng feeling humiliated grabbed PQ

Beng: tell me why is he better than me what i do wrong. u sleep with him already is it?

what PQ said next stun me. in front of everyone she said

PQ: first and foremost i never liked u and we r never together. second G is from good school. study well basketball team, family well to do. u leh just some ah beng doing nothing with life. and YES i slept with G already. it was so damn good. we do it every single day. and its me who wants him to do me.

everyone in my 'group' cheered except me as i knew not a single damn word was true.

After the whole incident as i was walking PQ home i asked her.

Me: why did u say all those things just now? its all untrue.

PQ: ya the good student and basketball part right?

ME: PQ i am very serious.

PQ: what is so bad about sleeping with me? i not good enough for u?

Me: no its not that i just dont want people to misunderstand.

at this point she was crying. i was stun and lost. first no one has ever said those things to me. second i have never seen a girl cry because of me before.

my instincts and from my experience in movies is just to go and hug her. after awhile after she cooled down i said

Me: PQ i never had someone who treat me or love me like u. so i dunno how to react. and its alway me who thinks i am not good enuf for u. u r pretty and sporty while i am just a geek. if u r willing to lower yourself to be with me. i will guard your love with my life.

PQ starts crying again. and i was like what the fuck i do wrong?

Me: er sorry ok maybe i should not rush things if u dont like we just remain as friends. sorry dont cry liao ok?

PQ: u silly boy this is tears of joy.

she then lean forward to kiss me and its so different from A with A it was more of experiment and lust but with PQ it was so gentle so intense and although my dick was erected and hard, i had no urge to come. just the feeling of kissing and holding PQ in my arms.

finally we broke off the kiss and she told me.

PQ: i got to go home liao. i love you G

Me: good night i love you too..

and so it begins the next chapter of my love life.
