From Feb 2009 it was at its peak at US $1 to S$1.55 During July 2011 it devalue again US $1 to S$1.37 Now just one year later July 2012 US dollar drop again to US $1 to S $1.27. I believe in future if the US economy is down, the rate might go down to 1 is to 1.

Believe this time the ringgit may not bounch back so much to 2.4. Maybe will drop back to 2.45 the lowest and may stabilise at the 2.50 mark. The rate of 2.4 -2.45 fluctuating has been going on for quite sometime already. Spore economy is fast developing as compare to msia and seems to reach another level.

now is a ringgit grab..
if you are not gonna change a big amount, suggest just change in singapore.. if want better rates in large amounts, can go over to source and immediately open up a savers account, withdraw small amounts from atm and use card to pay for the rest. Please do it with at least a few guys and in daytime around 12pm.. The situation over there is getting messy, alot of power struggles for the election.... every man for himself, esp now when its gonna hari raya.. police will be extra motivated to work also..
