The Char Siew Rice store didnt open on that day when we were there.Or may be we are late. The Muslim bro and driver go to the next building to have Halal food, while me and another bro eat at the Bai Long wan tan mee store. After breakfast,we hit back hotel for a small break and to pack up as well. We all meet up later for some TCSS regarding our last night girls, some discussion about how to "turn on" the girls, how to have a good time, choosing the best most suitable girls etc etc...lots of laughter...lol.
bro, actually your muslim bro can go try roti prata in front of the char siew rice. it's quite nice and not bad.. it was introduced by bro newyorker and bro kohOnly21 last time if i remember correctly..
Its behind Harmoni Hotel. Harmoni Hotel has a Korean restaurant - Sarang Bang - at the back. Just opposite the restaurant is Blue Moon.
Any Fr on the Korean restaurant - Sarang Bang? I read online it is operated by a old korean couple. Just curious about the price and taste.

one thing need to be noted. the distance from batam center terminal to nagoya is bit far. so the taxi fare won't be cheap too. but compared to how much taxi driver charge at harbourbay, nothing much different also... taxi from harbourbay charge u 50k even though you're going to pacific place which is pratically next building..
taxi from batam center terminal to nagoya, should charge you around Rp80k.. so really not much different in term of price, but very big different in travel distance..
So far i did not saw any batamfast ticket to harbourbay for international passport holder on sales, only seen ticket to batam center and sekupang for $30, if buy in bulk might get a discount.
For Sindo will be at $16/17 without any tax, have to pay $6 at sg side and another 65k at batam side.
For wavemaster will be around 28$ per ticket inclusive of tax.
For pacific ferry will be $30 per ticket inclusive of tax.
Taxi from batam center to nagoya just try to ask for 50 or 60k, i believe 7 out of 10 tries they will accept. Alternatively, take those colourful van for 4/5k per person, just reconfirm if they go nagoya by asking.

Pak Koh, I've eaten there once before..
It's expensive, pricing similar to Korean restaurants in Singapore.. Cost me about 80-90 sgd for 2pax, 3 dishes I think.
Food quality is very mediocre, not worth the money... Quality is much better in SG for the same pricing. Maybe they can't get the same quality ingredients in Batam.
Went to Pepys Massage, cuz few days ago Saw Bro Nono post about it.( I'm addicted to Massage place) so on Monday morning once I reach I straight go to Nagoya area to look for it. Then Bro nono didn't state the location so took me half an hour or walking and asking and finally gave up take ojek and finally found the place. Its near hotel utama near DC Mall there.
I am truly sorry for the confusion,i did later state in other post that its about 7 o'clock behind Utama Hotel. I will be venturing to more massage place in year 2015. And most likely to update those listed on the monthly list, but 1st thing 1st is i will need to walk thru previous massage places foot steps by other bros before and at the same time head to those newly opened ones. I am also going to look for album style massage joint as well, and then slowly but surely i shall collect them on the listings.
I dont like their room,hehehe...also,i am a formosa hotel fan,it dont make sense for me to sweat all the way there to get a good massage and then on my way back still have to sweat again after bath. So my better option is ,go down there to make an appointment base on the album provided and request for in-hotel massage, then "shop around" before heading back to hotel ,rest a bit ,wash up and then masseur turns up,hehehe....5 star enjoyment!

Hi bro, mind can share which massage/spa places stated in this thread says they will leave their customer/s Naked if they reject certain package? If its not convenient to state its name or the post you read in public, you may PM me. This is very interesting and i am curious too.
Oh,i didnt know they ever try to shut down Harbour Bay before.
Around Batam center do have a lot of tourist spot, from temples to sports to resort is all around that area, and till today, the ferry prices from Sillypore to Batam Center are still cheaper as compare to from Sillypore to Harbour Bay. I have always wonder thruout 2014 that how come it is so. Travelling time and distance from Sillypore to Harbour Bay is shorter, lesser time used, and the ferry uses lesser petrol but yet the price to reach Harbour Bay is ALL THE TIME higher as compare to heading to Batam center.I mean it doesnt make any economic sense right?
:
The old Batu Ampar Harbour was shut down after many years. That's before HArbour Bay.
In the past, there is peniun and Widdi Express. Widdi Express closed down and Peniun changed to Sindo.
The cost is more becos of the DISTANCE n FASTER. They earning big bucks for that. People just pay more for convenience. By the way, this harbour bay owns Prima Ferries, no competition.

this is very interesting topic. and in fact, i found it quite fascinating that ferry ticket is the only thing that price can go cheaper other than currency exchange.. (not to mention petrol price up and down recently)
to answer your question, why horizon ferry is more expensive than batam center ferries, it is because the terminal.
I have already been curious on this thing for nearly a year liao. The security guards and the cleaners in my office building keeps suan-ing me for paying S$48 to Harbour Bay while they only pay S$26 from sillypore to Batam Center...lol.

Even though the distance is shorter, (technically lesser petrol) the price is still more expensive because the licensing fee could be different.. like how budget airline charge terminal tax differently for different departing airport.
So,i am guessing due to the cheaper ferry prices, the Batam Center terminal is more crowded then and since Batam Center is government owned, that explains why they are stricter in the custom checks too. Read in papers every month will have 50+ visitors from Sillypore being send back from Batam and most of which are from Batam center.
hmm....

The Sindo ferry promotion with NTUC card thing is similar to their SAFRA card promotion, but i think it is w/o tax (or something like that)...with tax in,still around S$40 plus but just a bit lesser than S$48 but i will end up at Batam Center instead of Harbour Bay. So overall calculation for me is still isnt worth all the trouble.

Why? this is to boost the passenger from batam side or from indonesian side. Since the day sgd has hike to more than rp8500/$1, it has impacted a lot on number of visitor from batam side.. so in order to boost passenger from batam side, they start lowering the ferry fare from batam side.. but not from sg side.. $48 to singaporean probably doesn't cost so much, but to ordinary batam worker, it could be 25% or 20% of their monthly salary. If they don't do that,, the ferry may bring full pack of visitor from sg, but empty ferry when departing from batam.. same goes for returning trip..
So,there is actually a price war from both side and i havent even realise it the whole 2014...lol. If only there are tickets from Harbour Front to Harbour Bay at those stated offer price...
One day,I am going to join my office building's security guard to Batam to see where i will be ending up. S$26 versus S$48 has a S$22 difference. 15mins of travelling difference between the 2 ferry terminals and the taxi fare of 70k versus 40k.

So far only seen Batam Fast and Horizon goes from Harbour Front to Harbour Bay. Hmm...looks like i will need to visit money changer more often to find out more on this one becos what i am after is Harbour Front to Harbour Bay and hopefully at a lower than S$48 price.
I book from Batam Fast online before, total cost me S$49,more expensive than using Horizon (Prima Ferries).
This is indeed a very interesting topic, and thank you for sharing. I have already confirmed heading to Batam this 19th Feb,Thu and be back on 21st Feb,Sat.
An idea just struck me,i wonder if it will be cheaper to Cater a "private ferry" to Harbour Bay...anyway,i am just wishfully thinking for now on this one...lol.

Bro, try korean food at AC, super duplex, power to the max....!!!
There's a new dimsum restaurant opposite BCS, any bros here tried?
ZHEN BAO, I tried last Friday nite with 3 friends.
Service and ambiance ok but is pricey for Batam standard.
But most importantly, food quality very average.
Tim sum taste like from supermarket frozen food.
So far i only get foot reflexology by guy in Relax massage. But the reflexology is good. No hanky panky tho.(i am straight) As for hanky panky in Relax Massage,i only got once a hj when i went there during a certain hour and after which,no more special service offered by any of the other girls during subsequent trips.

Good! I will try it the next time i visit this place again.
My last roti prata was from indo rasa...and they are just average. 5.5/10 rating for my taste and expensive base on Sillypore standard, 9k/piece.

Yea,it also sound pretty weird to me when the distance are shorter from Harbour front to Harbour Bay,lesser petrol used but yet more pricey. For convenience and comfort,i guess there isnt much of a choice.
Well bro nono for the sindo - ntuc promotion its sgd$38 all in.come by sekupang go back sillypore by btm centre cos usually take the 8pm ferry cos sekupang last ferry is 7plus.8pm sun ferry not crowded.
