Not all can accept my lifestyle. i am budget traveler and sometimes get called a kuriput or cheap charlie. But I am thoroughly blessed and feel good when I travel.
I control my expenses and try to get maximum value for my money. Many times I was tempted to ring the bell but I tell myself that I can buy 2 50kg sacks of rice with money saved from that bell ring. That's making 50 families smile when they collect the 2kg of rice.

Has anyone tried it before? I knkow the place is no frills and not so clean.

but i also heard that you can barfine the girls from here.

Same with me. Never had rang the bell. Was persuaded to by the girls from my previous trips (not the latest one), but was never tempted to do it. Having my name written on the glass was one thing I had no intention of doing. Also, like you said, 1 minute of glory... not really worth it. For Singapore passport holder who wish to visit philippine more than 21days.can they apply a tourist visa from the Philippine embassy in sg?if yes,how much is the fee and what one should prepare for the application?

I know for Thailand can get 60days tourist visa before going and do visa run.philippine can do visa extension with ease up to a certain period for 3000peso or so.

If you wanna extend it, do it in Philippines. After arrival, get another ticket and, ask the TAs to do the extension.

The BI has strict dress code .. like No Casual Dress, Properly attired etc .. (then again, the filipinos don't reciprocate here .. dressing in 'three quarters, claiming that Singapore is Hot hot .. and walking with Singlets, or even Vests .. and when a bit tipsy, rolling up their T Shirts and exposing their big bellies ..)

Where will you be ? I Can refer some Travel Agents for you ..

The Philippines Embassy is next door to hell, damn beaurocrats, and if they can find a way to make your life complicated, THEY WILL, trust me .. !!!!

Like I hear one guy, who was going Holiday in Philippines, the guy was asked "what will you do there", the innocent fellow reply "holiday and look for some business opportunity", the reply - "then you must apply business visa. Please obtain invite letter from your business counterpart, bank statement, what business you want to do .. "

The stupid cow don't realise "looking for business opportunity" is no same as "going for business"

And also, there is a lot of attempt to get you to confirm into 'recommended' hotels - possibly those connected with embassy staff .. and your refusal only makes them look harder at any possible 'breach of application .. '

And they are scratching their arsse wondering why not many people want to visit Philippines ..

For Thailand 60days tourist visa easily obtain in Thai embassy in sg before flying out totally free and no hassle.apply today get Tml and get 60day stamp upon arrival in Thailand airport.so I thought it might be the same for philippine!

Try to call this Philippine embassy in sg for tourist visa information.all I got is engage,voice mail.one time a lady took my message I was just asking if tourist visa can be obtain for Singaporean and whats the fee and things to prepare like photograph etc..say visa officer will call back to me but many days later never.tried calling in again same voice mail,engage transfer here Nd there till I manage to get hole of someone and was told cannot apply have to do it at Philippine site??But she was not sure and transfer me to the visa officer only to hear voice mail again.
