Heard that Wavemaster will move to Batu Ampar. Also possible price increase, i.e. seaport tax from sg will be $20 instead and from batam will be $6 instead of $3.

If
seaport tax --- Batam ----> Sg = S$6.00 ... still ok

But if
seaport tax --- Sg ---> Batam = S$20.00 ... not very ok leh

Its would adds up to almost S$50+ for a round trip for ferry ticket.

hi would like to know if it's possible to go there in a day. say reach there in the morning and back at night? any recommendations or itinery in getting things done in a day without overnight. Will it save if one to go alone and not be able to speak their language? and will it be convinient to take a ferry from tanah merah?

Many times i've done day trips.
But more worthwhile to do a overnighter.

Best if u find someone experienced to tag along or find a good driver to bring u out.

From Tanah Merah can only go to Nongsa which is far from action.
Go to Harbourfront for ferries to Batam Centre which is nearer to action.
