Was in Osaka for work last week and went to Dotonburi shopping and food area on one of the evenings

Was approached a few times by trendy young ladies at different junctions as I was obviously touristy with camera.

But funny thing is that they either turn away or say sorry when I spoke to them in english or mandarin. Are they working girls or just touting for the restaurants nearby ?

Went back Hotel and order take in service with a English-speaking operator but that is a story for another day

Osaka still have the old red light district, you didn't try that? I believe only a handful of gals take foreigners.

Yes I went to Tobita area after no luck at Dotonburi but as it was late I didn't stay long enough to score.

First the shopping mall already gave me the creeps, very rundown (and unlike anything in Japan) and quite a few homeless vagrants abound at that time of the night after the mall area and I wasn't really at ease. Well after no one provide info on the massage shop, decide not to waste time on it and go straight to Tobita.

After lurking around here for a long time, I have finally decided to post a report of my own after coming back from Tokyo last week.

About halfway into my holiday my legs and feet were very painful from all the walking and exploring. Alighting at Shinjuku station after taking the train back from Nakano, I went to Kabukicho to find a massage place that I read about on the net: Asian Feeling. It is manned by a Japanese tencho but the girls are all from Thailand who can speak Japanese. They are also one of the few places in Kabukicho that welcomes foreigners with open arms even if they cannot speak Japanese (I can converse on a very basic level). It is located around 3 minutes walk north of Shinjuku station, you can Google the location for yourself.

The place is on the 5th floor of a plain-looking building. At the entrance, the tencho greeted me and I told him that I was a gaikokujin from Singapore, and he said it was okay. He showed me a menu of the courses available and I picked the 60 minute oil massage. I paid the fee and was ushered inside after taking off my shoes. The place is small and cozy and dimly-lit.

Those website sometime put differnt location system...any idea if shinjiku would required to pay addiontal charge for transport?

I personally feel that one should never find actions in Kabukicho.

That place is dangerous, aside from all the touting, known scams, drink spiking, black shop, fake girls (non-Japanese) etcetc.

Unless, you just want to try it once, but do be aware Kabukicho is easily the most dangerous place in Japan (after 18:00PM), if you been there once you will feel it, from those annoying touting..

Oh, and if you travel to Tobita Shinchi, please be aware that it has one of the largest homeless population in that region (Kamagasaki), travel light when going to this areas (probably is fine but why take the chance if you traveling abroad).
