For you no problem.....sometimes it is not the cost of the drinks or transportation nor expenses but the company of good friends....spilting the bill was never an issue among close buddies.

As we know what exactly to do and never take advantage, if that happened in the place then there is no such things as "close" buddies.

Even a bottle of whisky (max. green label only ...... gold label can consider) is still cheap for a lau chiau for a tour guide!

So coming or not......! Leaving soon loh!

2) They expect you to be a sex tour guide for free. Blame you if your info is not to their liking after they've tried it.
3) Some are eager to find people to meet up because they want to share costs in transportation and entertainment expenses.
4) Some are just looking for a free lunch and cry foul when splitting the bill. Eg. I only drink coke and water so I should pay lesser. This kind of cock rationale. So does that mean that entering high end G-Clubs one does not need to pay for entertainment and entrance fees even if he drinks water only?
5) Some may suspect you of earning commission behind their backs from the places that you brought them to. Some really do lah. Hahaha.
6) Some ask you to do them favours for free and at atrocious timings. Eg. Translation over the phone with their tirak at 5am in the morning.
7) After helping them they don't even have the basic courtesy to say thank you and it is your rightful duty to assist them.

and many more...

You see my offer to be a FREE BKK tour guide if anyone can sponsor air tickets have no takers even after several weeks. I did that on purpose knowingly the outcome. Most won't even bother to post a FR after you give them some leads. Much less buy you a beer or even air tickets!

Sadly the cheong scene on SBF is plagued with such undesirable and immature opportunists looking for something that will be advantageous to themselves at zero or minimal cost.
Fully agrees but on the hand, there many good SBF members over here....not a bit of the above!

Unfortunately.....only a handful!

The above 2 points I encounter a lot until I sick of them.... So now my policy is simple. I want commission... My commission is buy me beer. If cannot afford/reluctant/stingy to buy me beer then dun waste your time PM me.

Yes just cheong with a few close buddies and everything should be fine. It all boils down to mutual understanding and consideration.

A bottle of 100 Pipers will do liao. After all the next day will lao sai all come out liao. If drink Blue Label maybe the shit come out will be blue colour!

Haha those 2 points I encountered many times also. My criteria is even lesser than yours. Treat me for kopi by the roadside stall will suffice. This way I pass them whatever info they required. As long as one is sincere in making friends I'm up for it. When I come out to cheong I also want to make some sincere friends. Those with a hi bye friend mentality need not apply.

In the past I usually invite those who contacted me to G-Clubs I've memberships with. Having a few drinks on me won't kill me and besides the ice/mixers are free.

I don't usually become a tour guide unless close buddies or those refered by others are in town. For those who contacted me for cheonging. I usually tell them that I'll be going to certain places and they can join me if they wish to.

Fully agrees less problem with close or known buddies and the "baby-sitting" job for free, once I have a case that a bunch of newbie (3 of them) meet up in BKK and follow us to Soi Cowboy, we stop at Baccarra then they start to hop as we split off as we are hungry and want to have dinner!

Then call them...they says want to walk around some more...so off we went to Nana Area....after an hour or so....KNN they call me to help....they dunno how to go back to Hotel, after explaining to them still cannot as they claimed they don't speak Thai!

End up, I have to take taxi to Soi Cowboy, stop a Taxi and send them back and go back to Nana again......as usual not even a "Thank you!"

Having said that, I also have met some very steady cheongsters.....who nowadays lie a low profile because of the incidents that happened....they are fed-up....no more entertaining so called "newbies"

I can tell you your idea will FAIL miserably and even worse if you invest heavily in this business. ...business will fail if you want to gather majority of your clienteles from SBF.
SBF's no critical mass, neither exclusive to support this. Even for airfares + hotels, you are already spoilt for choice with online webbies. Our Tim here even has widened his reach with latest tie up with agoda.

On bad meetups, guess we make our own bed.

your offer still must pay airtickets. My offer for the same in Pattaya is only for beers and still not taken up!

I think the problem is i can drink more than the cost of airtickets!

Re: Dedicated to BKK's a-go-go recommendations

Wah piang...did not expect to see so many response to the remark I made about the tour thingy. Bros, dun be serious, I meant it as a joke

That said, I do agree with the bros here. I think I have mentioned this before, while I am still new in terms of cheonging internationally, I always uphold a principle, which is, Wanna Cheong, dun be a miser, wanna save, dun cheong. Even for me, as long as I have fun, money is secondary.

I think the old birds here have gotten what I think is called "once bitten, twice shy". What to do? Some people are only bothered about themselves, and what is a privilege, become an entitlement. No wonder it is hard for newbies to tag along with the old birds

Me thinks this not issue with being "old bird" or "newbie" but matter of greng jai... something lacking in alot of people now

I still meet up with samsters whether they are newbie or not. Well it's their own choice for those who shut themselves off from meeting new people. I've seen quite a few bad eggs in my time. Don't think can get any worse than that unless I get to meet some rapists, murderers or terrorists! Haha.

I sometimes learn many new things when meeting new people. As the old saying goes, "Back wave push front wave." This is very true when you get older. You'll understand the meaning more. If you put yourself up too highly you'll start to lose the ground. Much like those MIW!

This is what drives me. Progression and not retrogression.

Liquor pricing in BKK clubs is considered very cheap if you compare to clubs in China.

It's not about being "newbie" or "old bird". It's the person's level of maturity and character that will decide whether this person is worth meeting or not. How many times have you encounter a middle age guy that acts and behaves like a 3 year old kiddo or a spoil brat that cannot accustom to elsewhere besides safe proof Singapore?
