Without so many first team players we still managed to keep Besiktas at bay for long periods I think performance still not too bad. But without the magician we do appear kinda lost and not much creativity and threat.

Anyway now we can concentrate on getting the farewell gift for Gerrard and a top four finish. Maybe a blessing in disguise.

I was quite relief that we exit this competition early...now the lads can concentrate on EPL and FA Cup with some rests...although we have to play Man City on Sunday and mid week EPL game next week...

Our lads will be both mentally and physically exhausted after the Europa game whereas Man City are fresher with 2 more days of rest.

true, MC has advantage of extra 24 hrs' rest.
but Coutinho n Henderson were rested.
hopefully this will balance things off.
agree with Yaya back, MC will be stronger.
hopefully brother Kolo has his ways to make sure Yaya doesnt play.

I really hate to be in Lovren's shoes right now. Hope the lad pick himself up and prove his worth. Man City is really strong. It is like men vs boys . I hope those who did not play in the last game will be fit to play in this game. Last game saw BR changing to 4-4-2 which did not wok well. I too have a feeling that Man City will this game by at least 2 goals.

Coutinho & Henderson were not rested..... they were both injured. Coutinho could return for the Man City game depending on a late fitness assessment but Henderson is out for the Man City game. Also sitting out this game through injury is Gerrard, Enrique, Lucas, Jones, Sakho and Flanagan.
