Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Beside sporting reasons, some players have other deciding factors if they should move to a particular club. For example, Sanchez. He wanted his family to live in London.
Liverpool is facing a big challenge in signing a marquee player. Competition with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, and European power houses. Yes, Liverpool is in the Champion League and have awesome owners. However, as a club, there was no consistency is the past 5 years. Liverpool twice ended the season in 7th position and the season the club came in 8th, the League Cup was won and King Kenny was fired. I sincerely wish Rodgers builds on from where he stopped. Since the early 2000s, there were two separate occasion Liverpool ended the season 2nd. Sadly, the following season the club finished at 5th and 7th respectively. Fingers crossed that history does not repeat itself. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
thks bro qw2op for the update n highlights.
i was monitoring the match on my hp via futbol24. kaozzz ... saw Preston took lead juz before HT. sianzzzz 1/2 liao. then late late show ... Pool popped up with 2 late goals. Ok Pool did a HOME-AWAY ... abit disappointed we did not fair better against a league one side ... considering our starting lineup was considered fairly decent. Negatives: - Read reports Emre Can lasted only 22 mins. had to be taken off cos of injury. hope it's not serious. - hope this is not a prelude of things to come the coming season. 1st 2 friendlies show that our 2nd stringers are still not good enough. these are the core of the players which we would likely depend on Cup games n games against maybe lower tier teams in BPL. wee could struggle to win games. we need to have a powerful bench like Chelsea and ManC which players can juz come off n score match winners or turn games around. think the Pool board identified this serious problem and tryin to buy quality players to beef up the squad. Positives: - Ibe had a decent performance, set up the 2 goals in 2H. - Suso scored a good goal. shows BR all the more why he should be kept n deserve a place in the 1st 11. - Enrique played, after a long long absence. think he missed the whole (or almost) of last season?

For the past few years in the age groups competition he has been scoring goals at the rate of 2 out of every 3 games. BR should blood him into the 1st team and solve the striker problem. |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Liverpool are ready to sign Loic Remy for £8.5 million after Brendan Rodgers decided against a move for Swansea's Wilfried Bony. The Frenchmen will link up with Liverpool in the USA tomorrow and an official announcement is expected on Tuesday.
Southampton defender Dejan Lovren is set to switch to Anfield as Liverpool has increased their offer to £20 million. Liverpool is keen on bring Fiorentina keeper Neto to Anfield. Talks on signing Dutch International Michel Vorm has failed and Rodgers has turned his attention to the Brazilian as a competition for Simon Mignolet. Brendan Rodgers is keeping a close eye on James Milner should he decide to quit the Etihad but faces challenges from Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Everton. Divock Origi looks likely to become a Liverpool player as the club has agreed a fee in the range of £10 million. However, chances are high Origi will be loaned back to Lille and might return to Anfield in 2015. |
