I rush out of the cabin to check what had happened to cause such a rocking to the boat.. The sea was calm, no boat passes by.. I turn on my search light and shine it toward the island as the boat was anchor just a hundred odd meters away... Surprise" there is neither any high surge wave hitting the shore either.....then something struck my mind ...we are just by Pulau Hantu ( ghost island) honestly the meaning in Malay Pulau Hantu is actually referring to an uninhibited island..but belief it or not it is still translate as ghost island..our actions may have offended them...
I head back to the cabin, put on my clothes then took out some joss stick and joss paper that was kept in the cabinet above the galley.. turn on the all the light and carried out a simple prayer walking around the four side of the deck..burn those joss paper and threw them into the open air ...repeated till the stack of joss paper were use up..all these while, she sat by watching me going thru the ritual of praying and offering.... No problem all safe.. She: What happen just now? Me: well guess we may have offended some spirit by the island or the sea She: you mean there got " those thing" Me: well I suppose.... Better to respect what others belief than to go against it She : quite true.. Me: ok now, where do you stay? She : I need some drinks first Me: huh? Still not enough? She no la.. Maybe we can find some coffee shop nearby here.. Me: ok.. Let me clear out all this mess we had created... So within 10 minutes... We are back in my car She : do you need to wash your hair? Me: oh ... Forget about that...actually I love those pussy juices.. We both break into laughter ........hahahahahahahaha
