champs league final, oh, u want to see liverpool dominate the whole game, fail to score and then fletcher stick his head out to head the ball into the net in injury time. there is only so much heartache one can take, u know. for that, i'd rather see drogba and his flowing locks in full flight!!!

Benitez 'completely committed' to Liverpool

Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, insisting he is 'completely committed' to the Anfield club.
Benitez, who joined Liverpool from Valencia in 2004, was born in Madrid and represented the club as a player.

With current manager Fabio Capello enduring a difficult season at the Bernabeu, there have been numerous reports of Real bosses preparing to offer Benitez the manager's job next season.

But he has ruled out any such move, telling Liverpool's official website: 'I think it's important the fans know I am completely committed to Liverpool Football Club and I'm going nowhere.

'I know there's been a lot of speculation in the Spanish media linking me with Real Madrid.

'Any manager would be honoured to be associated with such a famous club, especially as Madrid is my home city and also my former club.

'However, I want to make it clear I am very happy at Anfield and very happy in England and I'm genuinely excited by what the future holds for Liverpool.'

Rafa has never been given loads of money in Valencia or Liverpool to build up his own team,interesting to see whether he will buy star players if given a much bigger transfer kitty next summer,or again only go for non star players but who can carry out their job well ? Will he be at least equally successful when he can spend without much financial constraint ?
I was very glad upon hearing the new owner's intention to build a bigger stadium than the one approved earlier,they do mean business to bring LFC back to the top. Guess Rafa has imposed sort of 'pressure' on them to accept his long term plans before committing himself to Anfield,will they in turn demand Rafa to deliver the goods quickly ? Interesting .....

Putting our clubs' rivalry aside, I'd rather see Liverpool making it through than Chelsea. Benitez doesnt spew rubbish and give lame excuses when things dont go your club's way. Respect. Players wise, your team's has no cockiness.

just for info, there is a shop located at hong lim telok ayer cc, which is just beside the speaker's corner. a small shop tink opened by official sg liverpool supporters club. dropped by the other day intending to buy some infant clothings.

Its just a small shop with limited items, some polo-t, some jerseys, scarves, accessories etc...in end i only bought a car decal...
