Thanks bro. With regards to bolster bro's comment bout booking a table, yes, that's consumables. To me, having a table with a couch in Insomnia separates us men from the boys. Think it's about 500 pesos on the menu; tastes quite good actually. Well having a fine dime feed u, even chee cheong fun will taste good) n that's it. Soon, Adriana (ok getting tired so putting up names here) sees 1 friend, and that 1 friend brings another n presto. I was surrounded by 5 girls. There was a Chinese pinay among the 5 who got interested in me, but she has MBC stamped all over her.

And it was good I took a crash course in etsys' '101 Basic Guide to Pinays' Psyche'. Adriana told me to dance with this Chinese (ok let's call her Ye Xin) but I just refused. So A made the request 2 more times but I just said no. Anyway the sex with A was already mindblowing so Ye didn't appeal to me at all. Plus she had that typical China girl look which for me was a turn off. A tested me 1 last time by saying she needed the loo and I was left all alone with Ye. Lo n behold, she initiated conversation. Asked me in perfect Mandarin who my gf was. I just pretended to be drunk n repeatedly asked her what was she asking.

Suggestion: Buy a local SIM as soon as u come out of customs. There's a kiosk beside customs so u don't even need to look for it.

Why? Story time.

My colleague n I hit MBC. I had a local SIM. He didn't. Girl approaches us. We had been inside for half an hour and feeling a bit impatient, I waved to this girl since she was the closest thing to Megan Fox. Got her number. Another girl approaches us. Closest thing to Mila Kunis whom I prefer to Megan. But my colleague waved to her. I was thinking WTF why did Mila appear 5 seconds after Megan?! I could have beat my own manhood up there n then.

Then I asked for Mila's number. Guess what? She wrote her name as 'Sultry Mila'. I looked at the name and was about to give a wide-eyed look but she put a finger to her lips. She then told my colleague 3.5K pesos for a shot. My colleague says no. She leaves.

Phone vibrates.

Me: Er... What?
SM: aren't you going to dump your chick? I wanna go out with u.
Me: it's complicated, my colleague already chose u n I her.

My colleague picks another girl. SM managed to corner him in the cafe n HE told her that I'm available. 4 of us head to Icon. He ends up at VC.

I have a suggestion that will trump both your tips - bring a local girl who cares enough about you to save your pesos. I did and she ordered everything, ok, she didn't bargain hard, then she picked the restaurant (chinese style). So I just needed to pay. Maybe I paid over the odds, but I suspect very slightly so.

Insomnia - is that a table with a couch or a table with chairs? I got a table with 2 couches. The best thing is I could swat those pesky adolescent Korean flies who land on MY couch. Yes, I'm evil but then again, I won't apologise for being awesome (credit to Tucker). I even saw a middle-aged Korean sitting at a table with a couch sipping an OJ (the temerity!) but even he had to vacate when a bunch of ang mohs came and bought just a bucket of beers.

My 'regular' table is the one with 2 couches in a L-shaped setting, nearest to the entrance. That was where the magic happened (sucked a tit but then you all don't need to know about that).

Technically, a paid ONS is still a transaction. Sorry for being picky.

On hindsight though, I need to experiment and go there myself on the "pick-up" rate. And you r right, no Pinoys there so it's not as localised as I mentioned - thanks for pointing that out to the rest of the bros.

Add the random ang mohs who are there to genuinely just have fun and you have a recipe for wasting time. But then again, different strokes for different folks.

Also, how do you guys talk in a club on the dancefloor?! I can't even hear myself think sometimes.

We were quite happy to have gotten it at that much. My buddy was in there earlier for some biz and he was staying at Intercon for like 2kS$ for 10days. However the difference in the level of the room was really big according to him and since it was like walking distance we were satisfied with it.

We are also considering AC the next trip. Probably will go pestering the experienced bros in the AC thread keke.

Seems like the morning and afternoon good for SYT at MBC. Night time one is mostly those experienced WL so noobs like us must be more eye open lol.

Yea the locals can bargain, but it really depends on your chick and how well she knows the market rate - you can usually go about 50-60% of their first asking price. And if you go there later like close to close shop time, or week days, you have more bargaining power too. But at the end of the day, it's splitting hairs.. so don't sweat the small centavos, more important to find a good resto (yea i do prefer the chinese style one too and it's usually the most crowded, plus they recently expanded) plus let the chick choose the style of cooking to keep them happy and self-entertained

Depends, if it's not so crowded, we can score a couch table, otherwise, on nights when it's full it's usually one of the tables with chairs. But I don't really spend much time at the tables, usually on the dance floor working off the alcohol, lol!

Don't really have a set modus operandi, just approach girls that don't have guys tagging along. Don't aim too high, don't choose the hottest chick who thinks she's the one, choose the sweet chick who doesn't know yet how hot she is. But most importantly, don't be a wall flower, smile and have fun

Guilly's Island is at quezon city, about 20-30 mins cab ride from Manila. It's along tomas morato, but most cabbies should know it. There's however a cover charge usually 300 php which includes 2 beers. Crowd is local mainly, young and there are usually groups of girls by themselves - they get in free by signing in on a "guest list". Music isn't as good as insomnia IMO but just add alcohol, stir and the results are the same, lol.

Get a local SIM number yea, cos everyone likes to text. Plus it's way easier to keep in touch. Just be careful that the chick you are with doesn't read your messages. Two words : phone lock.

Haven't really been to MBC much during the day, usually busy or hungover like Boink, lol. Maybe like Etsys says, good time to check out will be near the 15th or end of month which is their local pay days. Will get more traffic from regular girls who are actually working outside but are itching to earn some extra $ to supplement their income.

Well, Boinking: I am not a dance guy, I prefer to sit and stake out my area and work my way up .. slow but it works.

Oh, the best time I had was in Havana Makati, the band member knows me .. she came over to me and got her a drink, and within a few minutes or so, a few of the girls who were looking at me like I didn't exist suddenly had this big smiles

well you can't compare 5 star with Rivera, but Rivera is still good value for money and also, don't forget, their good Green Curry Chicken rice ..

for MBC, exactly, the evening tends to see more of the 'shabu' loaded ones .. the ones who i avoid at any cost, lest be caught up with more mess ..

Same here! Just not a good dancer. But so far, if the ladies are coming, I'm not about to complain. I prefer sitting and talking to the one target. If she gets up and dances with others, fine. After all, all it matters is she's going back with me.
