Danok/Hatyai, Phuket, Bangkok (14-21/02/13)
Sawasdee Khrap,
Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Thailand. Revisited many places and purposely skipped some. Using a combination of coach and plane as means of transporation. The overall inflation on accomodation, transporation (Land), food, daily necessities and entertainment have been very minimal even compared to 3 years ago. In some areas no inflation at all! No wonder Thailand's slogan is "AMAZING THAILAND". Just want to give a big shout out to all the bros that contacted or hang out with me. Hope I can do this again more often. Until then chok dee! ASIA CHEONG RANKING: 1) Changping, Dongguan (Good for cheong only) 2) Bangkok, Thailand (Good for overall. Cheong, Food, Shopping) 3) Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam (Value for cheong and historical tour) 4) Macau (Good for cheong but expensive) |

Re: Bangkok Field Report
since 2005 ive hardly noticed any inflation at all here. One person put it this way in bkk(thai) there is too much same same of everything. too much eyeglass shops, too many some tom strret food vendors, too many selling mobile phones and accessories, too much bargirls-reason prices hardly ever rise.
really hard to raise prices when your competiton prolly wont! |

Re: Bangkok Field Report
i have no clue about condo purchase prices. but ive recently been following condo rental prices. im constantly amazed at what one can get here. example ideo verve 1 bed @ under 20,000 baht per month. or trendy studio @ 16,000-17,000 .
a studio in ideo huay kwang only 12,000. i actually put a deposit on 1 of these but owner had to take a trip on move -in day so i backed out. |
