This is to the frequent cheongster, some of you may not aware but here is one of the way to lower down the cost. If you go to a particular KTV very often, you can actually buy the bulk coupon in advance (in chinese called 酒卡) from some of the ktvs. That will give you the nice discount on the alcohol. For example, with the coupon of RMB5000 at huatai, you can exchange for 15 chivas, which makes the chivas cost to RMB333 each instead of the listed price of RMB580. This will help you to save 57%!! BUT, going with the organizer you should pay the lower rate than the normal bill (comparing if you go yourself), because the organizer stand the better bargaining power on the discounts as he is the frequent spender, then this will be the win-win situation: you pay low, he gets profit, why not?
