Best rate I have seen in BKK so far and which is unmatched by any other banks or money changers in Singapore or BKK is from this money changer situated on sukhumvit soi 7/1. Door sign states XXX Travel Agency or something but dun worry they are an extremely large money changer in BKK and have been operating for the last 50+ years.

The entrance is at the side opp the subway restaurant. Do note one thing for this money changer, for SGD 50, they consider as small notes. SGD 1K note then they consider as large notes and for large notes, their exchange rates is really fantastic.

For example when I was there for business trip, ex-rate in Singapore was about 23.4, the ex-rate at the BKK money changer was about 23.42 but the ex-rate at this money changer was around 23.5 for small notes and 23.6 for large notes. I've had some instances whereby their ex-rate for large notes was 0.2+ higher than the best rate I could find at other money changers.

No bro, not this one. They only have 2 branches. One at Central World Plaza, the other (main branch) is at Sukhumvit Soi 7/1.

Not sure about tat bro. Usually I will go to the main branch at Sukhumvit Soi 7/1 as the boss is there and the rates are the most updated. I took one of their name cards previously but dun know where I put it now. By the way, this money changer is not open on Sundays.

Today's rate at fancier bank kiosks in pratunam worse off at 22.8. Mom and pop kiosk marginally better 22.9

Hi all, I've flicked thru the posts of the last 10 or so pages and got a bit of wha the exchange rate is but I need to know WHERE I can change for the best deal. I'll be changing just a bit of cash at the airport so I can pay for transport but where can I get the best deal in relation to where I'll be staying? I'll be at the Palazzo Hotel and would GREATLY appreciate directions to this place the bros were talking about earlier - The Super Rich at Central World Plaza, the other (main branch) is at Sukhumvit Soi 7/1. If anyone can recommend somewhere closer with a good deal, it will also be appreciated.

Today's a bit brighter, 23.07 (last 1/2 days 22.9+) at Pratunam small kiosk. Unless you got small fortune, dun think it makes helluva diff for the hassles

Hi,

I dont know how much are you intend to change. If the amount is not significant, do change in GM or Chinatown or People Park ( last seen 22.9x). It just a little different. Forget changing in the SG airport or Bkk airport, the rate will be lower however, ChiangMai Int airport bank exchanges rate is higher than Bkk & SG airport. Try not to use credit card to settle the Plazzo hotel bill as the exchange rate from the bank is much lower, settle by cash. Hope it helps. Cheers.
