Sam, u can try like this, as some forums i been to, charge this way.

It's not expensive, just probably US$20-30 per year. Those who pay, can view pictures/videos and also have lots of PM space. Those who don't pay, can only read text and a lot lesser PMs. Most won't mind paying as it is for the whole year membership..

All in all, just enjoy this forum lah huh! I dun think anyone expects anyone to be grateful to anyone for the survival of this forum. I do not think Sam needs anyone to say thank you to him for the survival of this forum. But I do not think he also needs anyone to say fuck you when the person is not happy. It is free for most of us so just enjoy it. Doing otherwise is like the guy who went in to the temple for the free vegetarian meal and scolded the temple because he wanted curry vege but the temple never cook on that day.

likewise when we dine in a restaurant, we thank those people who serve us the food..it is the only right thing to do... We do not have to be grateful, but a word of thank you will go a long way...

Yes, it is difficult to please everyone here.
