Small place but quite crowded....seems to have a lot of gals moving around.
They also have 2 karaoke rooms. Gals not bad. Quoted USD 100 for overnight and 1 mil dong for one shot.

I went there before once around a few years ago when i first came to Vietnam. They used to have a massage there. I guess they have turned the massage rooms into Karaoke rooms ... hhehehe

So finally, I too have gone to HCM. All I can say is that HCM is a great city and the people are very hardworking, intelligent and enterprising. HCM will see many rich people blooming in the years to come and one of them could be Bro Singviet. (I'm sorry SingViet that I did not called you as I went there with some family members too)

The city of HCM is indeed very crowded with people; everywhere you go, there are lots of local people everywhere from morning till midnight. The population is about 8 million. The roads are wide (about 4-5 lanes wide) and they are filled with motorcycles (about 4 million bikes).

Crossing the road is not an easy task. Just imagine that you want to cross a 2-way road that is about 5-6 lanes wide with all the vehicles and motorcycles everywhere, moving non-stop. Theres no way one can cross the road if we are to wait for the vehicles to clear. So how to cross the road then, well the answer is just walk slowly across the road, with the motorcycles and cars moving in front and at the back of us, very dangerous but thats the only way.

If you intent to rent a car and drive around HCM, you can forget it as their roads are very chaotic, i.e you can see cars and motorcycles moving in all directions, coming in from all angles. Only the local people can understand their own road system.

For those who love shopping, for those who enjoy walking along sungei road, dont ever miss HCM-chinatown as the things there are very cheap and good. Going to HCM-Chinatown reminds me of our olden days "goo chia chui" ,chinatown (kreta ayeh), opposite peoples park. There are plllllleeeeeeentyy of shops there, (very amazing)

Of course, for those who enjoy nightlife, there are plenty there too and if you walk in the night along their streets, you will encounter many okt's offering their gals to you at very cheap price too such as US$60 for overnight services (12 am- 7am), and these OKT's are everywhere too.

I also noted that they have casinos in almost every 4-5 stars hotel, these casinos they called club.

Accomodation also is cheap in HCM. Me and my friend stayed in Orient hotel (aircond + 2 bed + with toilet) for US$15 per night which include breakfast. This hotel is located along Phan ko lau, commonly known as the back packers area. Of course the room is small and theres no windows but the location is fantastic, very centralised.

In conclusion, HCM is a city one must visit. For 4 days, I spent total Singapore$400 which includes, airfare, airport taxes, hotels, food and local tour, and taxis.

I am wondering where u get all these OKT? But nevertheless, being in Vietnam for all these years, all i can say is that i have never gotten a real OVERNIGHT. All overnight ends 2 hrs after it started. And that explains why i decided to come out with C A Services, offering bros real good service OVERNIGHT that ends the following morning

Hi, SingViet, I did not try their overnight services but I did tried one of them offering st for US$25, of course service is soso only, and I end up paying more than US$25 because once I am in the room, the girl will ask me for tips, I gave her S$5, and the man ask me for condom money and I gave him S$3 plus i gave the man who brought me there (S$5).......... total about S$55.

Therefore I concluded that if one were offered low rates such as us$60 for overnight, be prepared that they will pester for monies once inside their room.

I forgot to add that I feel quite secured whilst roaming their(HCM) streets in the night as I dont see any gangsters around just like the ones we see in geylang. Looks like gangsters are afraid of communism.

I forgot to add that orient Hotel is in "No. 274 - 276 De Tham Street., Dist. 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam."

Very centralized location and with many other hotels of the same budget nearby. Even Sinh Cafe (the local tour agent) http://www.sinhcafevn.com/AboutUs.asp is there providing excellent, professional and very reliable tour services.

Been to Vietnam every two mth, always stay in New Asia Hotel @ USD22 for big room, old hotel but friendly service. You can ask them to call masage girl for you and some of the massage girl can speak chinese. cost about $50~$60 with massge+special.
Will be going again on first day of chinese new year

You are lucky that they pester you for money and not rob you of money. Often, many tourist are robbed of money once they are in the room. As for gangsters, there are plentiful there. Maybe not at Pham Ngu Lao street but somewhere nearby. Its easy to get gangsters to help you do something for a sum of money in Vietnam
