A mother was electrocuted by her child's dirty nappy after it hit a power cable while she was throwing it out of a house in India, it has emerged.

The 24-year-old, named as Annu, suffered a fatal electric shock on the terrace of her relative's home in southwest Delhi's Bindapur.

The diaper is said to have struck an overhead power cable as she launched it towards a patch of open land, with the force of the shock causing the victim's clothes to catch fire.

She was taken to hospital, but was later pronounced dead, according to the Times of India.

A police official is quoted as saying: 'The victim had come to her uncle's house from Himachal Pradesh along with her son on Sunday for the holidays.

'She got a strong electric jolt from the wire and was thrown back on the roof.

'The intensity of the shock was so strong that her clothes caught fire, resulting in burn injuries.'

Investigations are underway to determine how and why the accident, on Tuesday night, happened.

Her body is due to be handed over to her family after an autopsy today.

不過是隨手一丟竟賠上一條命！印度德里西南部的Bindapur地區，一名年僅24歲的新手媽 媽，一日在幫 寶寶換尿布時，將換下的髒尿布隨手往自家後院丟，沒想到意外打到高壓電纜線，頓時發生強大的高 壓電衝擊震盪 ，這名媽媽不僅被彈飛，身上還迅速著火，最後不幸傷重不治。

綜合外媒報導，印度一名24歲媽媽安努（Annu），於上周末帶著兒子到親戚家作客，沒想到發 生死亡悲劇！ 就在15日晚間，安努一如往常地替兒子換尿布，接著走到陽台把髒尿布往後院一扔，沒想到丟到高 壓電的電線， 頓時出現了巨大火光，而安努不僅瞬間被震飛到屋頂上，全身還起火被燒成一團火球。

家人見狀連忙將安努緊急送醫搶救，但因為傷勢過於嚴重，經醫師急救後仍回天乏術。明明高壓電線 離房屋、陽台 有一段距離，為什麼安努還會受到波及，家人直呼不敢相信，覺得太震驚也不可思議。不過相關官員 表示，應是高 壓電流太過強大釀禍，目前已請調查人員和供電公司聯繫，將會極力蒐證、了解意外原因。
