China is offering an enlarged currency-swap deal and expanded use of the yuan for bilateral trade to help Russia in its hour of need. Moscow welcomed the offer while stressing that it won't be sufficient to counterbalance the overall damage to the Russian banking system and economy from Western sanctions and falling oil prices.
