HUNDREDS OF FOREIGN SEX WORKERS FLOOD CLARKE QUAY EVERY NIGHT. No Public Nuisance?

DEAR TRS, .node-article .field-name-link-line-above-tags{float: right;}.node-article .field-name-ad-box-in-article {float: left;margin: 15px 15px 10px 0;}.node-article .field-tags{clear: both;} Post date: 24 Oct 2014 - 12:26pm Hi TRS, I would like to highlight that there has been more and more sex workers coming to Clarke Quay. I have been working in Clarke Quay for almost 2 years. I have seen many sex workers offering “special” service to tourists. They would usually approach tourists who are on their own or in a group to ask them if they want to go for “special”. Sometimes, they would sit and walk around to look for customers in the area and would sometimes pull their customers away while the customers are shopping are looking at the food menus. The price they quote is about $250 to $300 per session. I have customers who were approached by them and lose their wallets. It upsets me that sex workers are allowed to be in this area. Some tourists have also asked me if this is allowed at Clarke Quay. I have seen the police walk pass them before but the police does not check them at all, even as the sex workers sit and walk to their customers there and then. The security at Clarke Quay would sometimes ask them to leave but they would return after that. They would usually stand around the fountain area or on the bridge facing Clarke Quay. Sometimes they would also sit at the bars, like they are customers being there. I hope the authorities would do something about this as it is seriously leaving a stain on Singapore's reputation for tourists and it is affecting our local businesses. Why are so many of these foreign women allowed to come here anyway? I have taken many photos. These pictures are taken between September 2014 to October 2014.
