Wild Saturday Night.
Most of my friends were busy Saturday night, so I decided to head out to play some pool and then check out Clarke Quay.
Eventually ended up at Aquanova, a new bar where Clinic used to be. It wasn't overly busy, so I thought I would check it out and have a drink to check it out. Took a sip of the drink, and strolled over to where she was. She was quite well spoken, and her English was very good, Aida was her name. There is something about the Indo accent I like, the way they roll the r's.
She seemed surprised that I have lived in Singapore 4 years, and have never been to Jakarta, not sure why, just never have really had the need or desire to go there.. Aida has noticed that I am looking at the other side of the bar, and she grabs my hand and waves to the guy on the other side of the bar.
This rather well dressed very athletic Asian guy comes over, I thought hmm is he her pimp? Or what is going on. We make our way to the hotel, I can tell they are both a bit nervous, hey I am too. So I try to ease the tension by telling some funny story that I heard earlier in the day.
That seemed to ease tensions, and we are laughing and smiling as we walk along the quay to the hotel.. I suggest that if they have a 2nd key card to give that to me, and that they go up first. I will wait 5 mins and then join, as it won't raise any suspicions that way. They agree that this is a good idea, and tell me the room number, and they make there way up..
