Thanks, the articles provide a great read. Its a pity the author ( doctor?)
does not make any recommendations. So now I won't spend any of
my precious cents on any of those bogus stuffs hawked by backlane

In my opinion, the lack of recommendations lends to the credibility of the articles. I tend to be skeptical when a website provides information and conveniently sells a product the aligns itself with the infomercial.

I think there is a section in the website wherein the author will respond to your inquiry on a brand of tongkat ali you may be interested in. I have not tried contacting the author myself though.
