Aussie cumming to KL

OK,

have been following this forum for a while and found it to be fantastic. Love reading the FRs and slowly but surely getting my head around all the abbreviations....lol. Anyway, the reason for my post is that I will be in KL in a couple of weeks and need some advice on where to stay & the best way to 'taste' the delights of KL. First is where to stay! I'm guessing the best place to stay is in the middle of KL. Can anyone make any recommendations on a WL friendly hotel which is central to some quality MP and pickup locations. Price is not an issue and happy to pay a bit more for a quality establishment. I intend to squeeze in as much action as my 'didi' wil allow and will be posting FRs on a daily basis . Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Remember to grab your free tourist map of KL from the airport when you arrive ... and also bring you blackbook of locations ... use a marker to mark out all the cheong places

btw play extra attention to police imposers ... they will demand you hand over your cash ... dun ...

I'm also an Aussie who travels to KL on a frequent basis.

For ease of access the best area to stay is in the "Golden Triangle" or around Bukit Bintang. That's smack bang in the middle of KL.
this is where most western tourists stay in KL.

I don't think you'll have any problems getting "women" into your hotel.
My experience has been that Hotel's turn a blind eye to this sort of stuff and are very accommodating and helpful to Westerners.

dude, maybe you could consider to check out some nice , easy and cheap spot for freelancers along Jalan P.Ramlee. The best place to go is Beach Club. Like one of brother said, the supply is too much more from demand. easier you could pick pinoy, vietnamese,prc and locals too at differ pricing.

the average rate for outsiders is 350-450 overnight
locals maybe will charge a bit high.

Hey Guys,

I will be arriving in KL on Saturday (17/10) and staying until the Thursday. Maybe there is a seasoned Samster who will/is also be in KL and wants to be my wingman . Simply PM with your contact details and availability. Also, can anyone tell me what the exchange rate is for the aussie dollar in KL at the moment. I'm trying to decide if it's better to cash in before I leave or wait till I get to KL.(I checked the ringgit forum but the only reference in there is to the Singapore dollar Vs the RM).

About changing money and the exchange rate with the A$.
My advice, change in KL, but not at a bank, use a money changer, there's 3 at KL central station. and plenty also in the Golden Triangle.
they all display their exchange rates on notice boards.
the current rate is about RM 3.08 to the A$, best it's been in months!
you won't get that sort of exchange rate in Australia.
