If your friend is broke, will you recommend she be a FL to raise money?

Just wondering about this question when I saw the 9pm news on Channel U. A 33 year old property agent was charged for getting paid $1000 to take the rap for a traffic offence. She was found out and could face a few year of jail. Here's the link. Charged for taking traffic rap What struck me about this case was when Channel U flim her outside the courts, she's actually pretty. It was reported that she agreed to the deal because of financial difficulty. I think it must have happened when the property market is cooling down. The 1-3% comm from a case should be quite a lot right?

$1000 is such a small amount if she agrees to be a FL. She's easily worth $150 per shot. $1000 in exchange for a few years of jail is so not worth it, she probably spent a few thousands engaging a lawyer to represent her. If you have a pretty, shapely friend like her who is in financial difficulty, will you ask her to consider being a FL?

If I have a friend who is like her, I would probably ask her to consider being a FL. Seems a lesser evil than jail time. What do you guys think? Anyone can find her photo?

as a friend and on how good i'm on terms with her n considering my own finance status, i could lend her the money.

getting ppl to do FL, there would be lots of aftermath to deal with.
IF really suay suay, she gena any type of STD or what, she will definately be first to point finger to you liao, cos everyone surname will become "lai" including myself.

so i would prefer to have 1 more friend than 1 more enemy.

So if you lend her the money knowing that she can't repay, will you suggest she sleep with you for a few times to clear off the loan? Just you and no one else. So the risk of STD is lesser. Will you? We heard of people heavily in debt. So when you know a person owes people a lot of money, will you still dare to lend her money?

I remembered watching a Taiwanese news last year. The technology these days is so good that they can clearly see your face when the speed camera flashes. In Taiwan, according to that news then, the camera is so clear that they can capture you and fine you for not wearing a seat belt or using the phone as you drive. The cameras are located on top of the lamppost, just as some of our lampposts have cameras on top in Singapore. Imagine what if...

I feel sad for her as her case is made an example to send a message to the rest of us. May not be light. Yes it is common to get others to take the rap. Especially when you are asked if you had committed any traffic offence when you renew your motor insurance (if you qualify for safe driver's discount).

If you friend misunderstand you than you jia lat lor ... even tho you might suggest out of good will but she might think that you wanna be her first customer.

And like wat bro kwaychup says, there will be lots of issues to handle if she got into trouble being a FL.

It's her. Same girl as the footage although I don't think the photo does her justice. Associate Director in a property firm sounds like quite senior right? Will do this kind of thing for $1000?

I know most of you guys are nice people who will not ask their friends to be FL. My point is just that I think it's better to be a FL to earn $1000 than to break the law to obtain the same amount of money.
