If I create a thread in other sections, how long does it take to get approved? Was hoping to have the (M) removed by now.

it is automated. u need to be more active and post more
usually people get out of moderation in 2 days with about 7-10 posts.

You should only give rep points to those who have constructive contributions.

You cant decide how many points you want to add/neg though,
it is determine by your rep power, if you have a rep power of 5, you can only give 5 points, no more, no less. You can zap about half of what u can add.
