Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
lifted this fm the LFC forum...massive game tonite
Today for the first time in a long long time I was celebrating Manchester United goals. It felt very dirty, and not in a good way. I agree that Webb's horrendous second penalty was a farce, but Man U had at least one good shout for a pen in the first half, and a good shout for a red card, so maybe Webb was balancing it out. And even if the final result was hard on Chelsea because of the decisions, you have to remember how lucky they've been with refereeing decisions against Newcastle, where they should have had a man sent off early on, and against someone else too where they won with a last minute goal. It balances itself out. The most pleasing thing apart from the ideal result for us, was how atrociously bad both defences are. Man U showed their propensity to implode and concede bags of goals. Chelsea showed their propensity to throw away leads and inability to shore up, and giving away 2, 3 or 4 stonewall penalties in a game - horrendous. It's a wonder either team is above us - the west London outfit won't be for long. It's also wonderful how demoralized and angry and losing it both managers are. Especially Chelsea, losing a 3 goal lead. It has to hurt badly, it could ruin their already-faltering season. Hopefully they both continue stumbling and lose bags of points in the next few months and make it easy for us. I hate to say it but I hope we'll all be supporting Everton to not just draw but beat Chelsea at Goodison next Saturday. What's it to us. It's not like they're a theat to us anyway But the best thing about today obviously, is that if we beat Spurs, and that is admittedly a very tough game, then we will be only 2 points behind Chelsea, with them still to come to Anfield. 4th place will be back in our hands statistically, and we'll be only one more bad Chelsea result combined with good Liverpool result, away from regaining our rightful place at the top table |

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Spurs is much stronger than chel and city overall for me.
If they had a much better start to the season, they should have been at the top now. We do have good results against spurs at Anfield in recent years, hope LS back will spur us to 3pts..tbh a draw is considered a good result looking at our squad against them. AC should nv be given a chance to start this match..hopefully bellars and Suarez backup by stevie. Should be a great match ..gotta sleep early and wake up to see this match and go straight to office after that

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
For many years, I have supported Liverpool Fc.
They disappointed me by their inconsistency, not worthy of the EPL title. But but! When big matches come coming, we more than often rise to the occasion. Yes! We have beaten Man U & Man City when they are in their full flown this season. And I always remember how We have come back from behind to win the CL in Turkey. This is a team that play above their ability when the fan's support comes in full strength. Beaten Spur is very imp, esp now when we are virtually free from injury, except Luica! Show the pretender that "This is Anfield!"

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
As long as KD don play that dreaded 5-3-2 or 5-4-1, Pool have a real chance.
Pool to avenge that defeat.. 4-1 and we will be rocking for the visit to the scums this weekend...

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
Battle tonite agt Spurs will be in midfield which we'll need to cut out the livewires Bale, Modric & Parker.
Bale & Modric have been phenomenal for Spurs this season which they have been accountable for many of the goals n assists. while Scott Parker is the quiet , unsung hero who had been doing all the dirty work in midfield. i would settle for any ugly win for Pool.

My heart wants Liverpool to win but my analysis says it will be a draw game..... HR is a streetsmarts wily old fox..... KD is not his match.
