I have yahoo my fren in vn and she told me "như vì= because, so" but seldom see the 2 words used together, used separate could be like that ".... như..... vì........." and she told me in vn seldome ppl used this words.

She said ppl will say ........ như là= as ; bởi vì=because

So where does your "NHU VI" comes from? Can quote the word sentences????

e.g if i ask u LIGHT means what? there are a few meanings right?
1) light= not heavy
2) light = sunlight, moonlight
3) light = can u light up the cigarette?

Yes, there are too many gals....... if u can find one that u like, and she not so ANG BAI, maybe will sit with u for long...

So i urge bro who always go 42 to try this place. Normally i go b4 8pm cos the crowd here start at 8 and then 11 they go off.... the hh beer is 22 while SH is 33.

'ah", i think is an expression word, like, hor, leh, la, etc...

Comfortable and friendly Phan Thiet is always welcoming.

A coastal town more than 200 kilometers north of Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Thiet in central Binh Thuan Province has many things to attract tourists.

Ca Ty River is an original attraction of Phan Thiet. On important occasions the river crossed by bridges connecting two quarters of the town has boat races and floating lanterns. Visitors can enjoy the view or go boating to see fishermen trade their catches on the riverbanks.

Another popular spot for sight seers on the river is the giant water tower, the symbol of Phan Thiet. The tower, called “Château d’eau” in French, was designed by the ruler of Laos, King Souphanouvong (1909-1995), who was also an architect, and built between 1928 and 1934. The 32-meter tall structure has the acronym U.E.PT (Unise Des Eaux de Phan Thiet) which means it was assembled from broken porcelain bowls.

Phan Thiet’s other well-known tourist sites include the sand hill and Rom Islet at Ne Cape. At the foot of the hill, local children rent out plastic boards for tourists to slide down the dunes on. The beautiful dunes change shape constantly.

Its clean beaches, make Rom Islet good for swimming. In summer, it becomes a golden field when the grass turns dry.

Stopping at any small restaurant on the old streets of Phan Thiet, visitors can find local specialty pancakes and snail salads. The pancakes are made from rice flower, and accompanied with boiled duck eggs or fish cooked in fish sauce, and vegetables.

Visitors to Phan Thiet will want to return again and again. Locals are friendly and helpful. Prices are relatively stable, so tourists don’t have to worry about being overcharged or bargaining.

Make sure you buy fish sauce made from anchovies, dragon fruits, and sun-dried fish before you leave.

Life is hard as a student in VN....

Life in ‘the tunnels’

Dozens of homeowners in Da Lat are taking advantage of an influx of college students by transforming their small basements into boarding houses, some of which contain up to 20 rooms.

Da Lat, known as Vietnam’s premier mountain resort town, has always had an excess of basements as houses on hilly streets often have more space than they need.

But instead of using their basements to store furniture or brew liquor as they had in the past, residents are using the space to accommodate students and breed squalor.

Da Lat University student Khanh rents a dungeon-like underground boarding room at 69A Nguyen Cong Tru Street.

The narrow steps down to the “boarding house” look like the steps to a bomb shelter. Only one person can pass at a time. The air is cold and humid and the stairwell is pitch-black.

A tiny beam of sunlight creeps into the room from a small window. The air is musty and thick. When all the boarders are home, there’s little room to move around.

These “tunnels,” as the students call them, are common on Nguyen Cong Tru and Phu Dong Thien Vuong streets.

Students who live in these small holes may pay cheap monthly rent - VND500,000 or US$30, split among all boarders. But they have to spend more money on electricity because they use it 24 hours a day.

When electricity is cut, cell phones are their only sources of light, even during the day.

It takes a whole week for their laundry to dry enough for them to wear their clothes, and even then their garments are still moist.

Many students have tried hanging their clothes outside, only to see them vanish.

Another Da Lat University student Ngo Ly Tan Thuy said she only goes to her room to study at night and sleep.

“We usually stay at school to study in the daytime,” she said.

Cooking in the tunnels is dangerous and rooms are often filled with smoke.

“We’ve had to evacuate several times because we couldn’t breathe when someone lets the room fill with smoke while cooking,” said student Ngoc Duy.

During the rainy season, rain flows down the steps and into most rooms, making them damp and dirty. Rooms often stink for weeks after heavy rains.

Student Le Thanh Hai said, “We’ve complained to the landlords and they’ve promised to help. But they haven’t.”

Ang dang lam ji vay? Khoe Khong anh
Ang?... should be Anh

Anh dang lam ji vay? = What are you doing?
Khoe khong anh = How are you? (in this context)

Khong = no. But in this context it is put behind a sentence to indicate it as a question for a yes no answer.
