Seem like there is wind blowing in Jakarta and law authorities now start target several nightlife venues for drug and other offence. Places like Classic, Travel, BFashion were specifically named. Could mean something, or could mean nothing, don't say you were not warned

I also can't speak bahasa indon but never had any problems in jakarta. Just make sure your phone has got internet connection for google translate, google map, grab / uber and you will be just fine... maybe throw in a powerbank just in case

My old time Paki buddy who exports batik cloth from Jakarta since the 80s has warned me bribes can only get you very little mileage these days. It is no longer so easy to get off the hook for vices and immigration offences.
