is it always cheaper to take a cab from the jakarta airport to go to bandung? or is there an alternative?

You can also take the inter-state bus. Very comfortable, airconditioned and cheap. There is a services from Mampang and Gambir. No sure of other locations but I can find out if you are really keen.

I think there's a minibus travel (Cipaganti) counter at airport, where u can just buy a seat to Bandung.
Or you can go by Damri bus to Gambir Train-station, and from there go by train (Argo Gede).

Will be in Jakarta for 3 nights from this Sunday.

Will be staying at the Shangri-La hotel.

Can any bros advise any action around the area? Looking for tabao back to hotel room too.

Its my first time in Jakarta and after spending 2 hours looking through all the posts here, could not find any mention of Shangri-La Jakarta.

Bro, try Bats at B1. If you don't like the babes, go to CJ at Mulia Hotel the next night.

Bro,
Alexis I would say that the quality of the locals have dropped very much in the past year.
The expats are not bad, still ranked no1 or no2 in town.
Just from what I saw these few months, compare to other places.
Illegals KTV have the best looking locals and they do not have the hookers looks, they dress like normal girls and office girls.....

They maybe freelance; they may not be, but it is refreshing to see they dress that way.
