I don't think you changing your mind about PAP has made a serious impact to those who are less fortunate. Look at WP in Aljunied. Those lower income families still have to pay conservancy fees and the town council still chases after them when they don't pay on time. WP fired the town council management when they took over even though they have no idea/ no experience on how to run a TC. The town council actually counted some families thrice.

Has the lives of the people living in Aljunied improved? I really have no idea what you think will happen to Singapore when WP takes over as government. I think there will be chaos.

I have not tried crowd funding so I honestly don't know how it works.

I can also tell you that collectively, nothing will happen because no sane individual wants to stick his neck out. They have seen the consequences.

So the noise will continue to be noise and nothing more made by many individuals who feel that they can't really do anything.

That's the problem. You're a follower. You're not leading from the front.

That's the reason why you feel that you are a victim of the Singapore system instead of realising that the system actually offers lots of opportunities.

I give you an example. When the Filipina maids started flooding the country, many of my friends started complaining that they were taking over Orchard Road and spoiling the neighborhood on weekends. These friends belonged to the 80% "masses" category.

However, one of my friends set up remittence business in Lucky Plaza. He is now here with me in NZ. He's a devout Christian and does a lot of good helping the less fortunate. He's a millionaire many times over. He belongs to the 20%.
