Just my opinion only. ....These hotels are mostly in city centre/core where main customers are fm Sin.Mal. And food are mostly adjusted to Sin./Mal taste buds.
But then; its city and amenities are easily available.
I choose to stay in city outskirt wher i can get real Thai food n great clean stay at B380 per nite(250 sq ft). To get to city, only B20 by bike.
Matter of choices only.

2. any good places to jalan around outskirt ?
3. can provide hotel info or picts?
For easy ref., remb the names like Oliver(massage) or Thai Hotel wch are 100m apart. All the Tuk2 n motor knows . Food, plenty to choose esp from 6pm. Or if u adventurous n hv time, it is 10 min walk from Florida (walk under rail line). Or from Robinson, take 15 min walk across rail line(overhead bridge) to Thanon Rajthutit where Oliver is. Internet, local K'ok, beer garden all here; if u want peace n local flavors here. There are also smaller hotels here too; n you can see room 1st b4 u decide to book.

Used to be a chicken farm area as well known as Channivate and See Kim Yong..... are there any farms still operating there?

In 80s, in front of Thai Hotel hv few farms, but now no more.
Chanivate farms still there; behind TungSao Talat noi.
See Kim Yong hv farms; beside Dai-ichi hotels.....but watch out coz most there are now freelancers, but not so much from Chanivate.
