Because the 2 mummies system is not new. i.e. book via Amy then once reached another mummy will be assigned to take care of our room.

End of session only pay the assigned mummy, that's my experience based on last trip around Apr 2021.

Has things changed?

There should not be any changes in the mummy tips everywhere. If book through mummy, asst. mummy will come to assist the mummy.

If end of session pay only the mummy, mummy will ask you to pay the asst. mummy. This is how the system works. Asst mummy also help to serve the clients if mummy is busy with other clients.

Not forgetting that will still book thru the mummy again in future. Unless you outfront tell the mummy that you do not need an asst. mummy to serve you. Then you probably can don’t pay.

Stupid system, but it had been like this for some of the china mummy in Zara before COVID. But the main mummy don't have many rooms so always come entertain us. But I go there for the girls not for mummy. Now the price is 100 it is simply crazy to spend 200 just for the mummy.

In the past, when I made booking with the mummy, I will tell her do not send too many waiter or waitress. I need only one. End of session, I only pay one to the one who serve my room often.

About the 2 mummy tips - I believe this only happens in Leo, and to some extent at Empire for the china mummies. Some mummies have told me to pay whatever I want to them, so below $100 is apparently ok, sometimes $70-$80. Then main mummy will come in and she doesn't ask for it, but the girls, asst. mummy will all ask you to "take care" $50.

She will always come in at the end and ask for your phone number anyway. Looking at the bills from other rooms, it's always asst. $100, main $50, sometimes $100 for both, depending on the customer. As bro chaoslord mentioned, Leo is very well run and you will never find issues there, so I don't think this extra $50 is a big problem, especially when it is shared. If you go alone, then it's a different story. When I went with some old-school regulars, it seemed like Amy didn't take the extra tip, and she takes most of the commission from alcohol anyway so sometimes I don't know what the extra $50 is for. That being said, your $100 tip for girls at Leo goes a long way, more than other KTVs in Singapore.

These are my thoughts after visiting 6 KTVs in the past few months. L9 comes a close 2nd.

NSH: Happy hour is $78 plus some $15 charge for 1 finger food. Tip is $50 and girls about 10 now. My friend told me most girls there are old girls who have been working for some time, but I don't remember them. Age about 25-35. Playability not so high, you can get some if you initiate but no complaints for $50. Cost less than $100/pax for 3 people if you sit 1 girl and don't drink too much. Butterfly time....up to how handsome/rich you are, and up to the girl

But honestly the place is exactly the same as before, with the VERY old remote KTV system.

Well, you can try the newly renovated K2 at level 3, I am going later to check it out.
